Experiences with Sky Service?

What are your experiences with SkyService? We're using them for our upcoming trip. I read on their website that there's no movie on flights under 3hrs so I guess we're out of luck in that regard. Thanks for any info!!!

I flew Sky Service to Cancun in August and I was really impressed. I think our flight was 2 hours and 45 minutes and we saw a movie on both flights. I found that the air was a lot fresher than Air Canada, and as a result, I was a lot less tired when we landed. The food was pretty good too, just a sandwich but quite fresh and tasty. The chair was a little hard but still comfortable enough. The flight back to Toronto was a little late as it had been delayed at Pearson, but the pilot made a real effort to get us back on time, and he succeeded! I was a little apprehensive flying with a charter because I usually only fly Air Canada, but I preferred Sky Service! Also, the lineups were non-existent, whereas with Air Canada, you always seem to encounter long lineups in the airports.

Good! I wanted to end my report by saying "have a good time" but I think I pressed something on the keyboard by mistake! So have a good trip!

We also used Sky Service on trip. Was pleasantly surprised also.

The only thing was on the way back, there was a stop over in Tampa. They were waiting for someone but that person never showed up. It was hard knowing we were still in FLA and could not go outside!

They actually showed Finding Nemo!LOL

Hi Guys,
We're using SkyService tomorrow and are returning next Friday (15th) so I'll give you the Low Down when we get back. I choose Skyservice because Air Canada didn't have the dates we wanted and I will avoid Air Transat at all expence (too many bad past experiences). I've heard it's good........So I'll let you know.

We flew Sky Service last year in October and it was pretty good. On the way down we had a pretty decent movie and the meal was good for airplane food. The pilot made great time getting down there too. On the way back we made a stop in St. Petersburg and seemed a little long, but over all I guess one stop along the way wasn't so bad. The only complaint I have about these small planes is the leg room on the planes. I always feel like we have packed in there like cattle.


I am getting a little worried about flying Air Transat, I have heard alot of bad things about them. We are flying with them on Nov. 11. I am just going to have to remember exactly where they are taking us. That should take the edge off.

We leave tomorrow at 6:30am on Air Transat..... why is Air Transat so bad??

I don't think you have to worry CJK. We've flown on Air Transat (in July), Sky Service and Air Canada, both several times...various locations. We found AT and SS very similar, cramped seating, ok food, ok service, the usual for charter flights. We prefer AC (if we can get a good price) just for the seating space (not including Dash or Jazz).

For a short flight (less than 3 hrs) all are fine.

Hi,
Just got home last night from WDW it was GREAT, sad to come home though..Anyway,,,,,,,,,my update on Skyservice..........It was fine.......cramped seating but what do you expect.....Our flight to Orlando from Toronto aprox 2hrs 25 minutes.........A move there Brothers I think it was called (about 2 tigers) and our flight returning 2hrs 15 minutes a movie back......Stepford Wives. It was a decent flight for the price.............Oh yah we were delayed 4 hours coming home because there wasn't enough people booked on the flight so they decided to pick up more people in FT. Lauderdale before picking us up.
Anyway have a great trip............Just remember to confirm your flight times the night before.

Wow I'm impressed too. If you were flying from Toronto like we did the last time we went to Cancun it was almost 6 hours. That darn Air Canada must have taken the "Government" route
Have to use Sky Service next time

6 hours!!!!! We were flying from Toronto and again, our Sky Service flight was only 2 hours and 45 minutes. On the way home, there was a delay in Toronto that delayed our departure from Cancun by about half an hour, and I think we arrived in Toronto only 10 minutes later than planned. The pilot seemed really concerned about making up the lost time and that was nice to hear too!

I usually fly Air Canada and I thought I was making a sacrifice to fly with a charter, and that's why I was so impressed that the flight was actually a lot better than AC!
