I posted yesterday about DD worrying excessively over death. Since yesterday she has had extreme mood swings. We couldn't figure out what was going on. My mom finally asked if we'd given her any medication or anything. The only thing that has changed is that I started giving her Flintstone vitamins a few days ago. We think that the sugar level & red dye in this totally messed with her moods. Does anyone else have any experience with this?

BTW- We thought about testing DD for ADD b/c of her inability to focus at times. I thought it may be somewhat diet related & now I'm really thinking that's true. She doesn't eat much candy, but did have red Jello for a snack last night also. What other types of food have dye in them that I may not be thinking about? Thanks!

Mycousin has problems with red dye. It was the first I'd ever heard of it. She (as an adult) has terrible migraines from red dye. She never knew what caused her migraines, until she read an article about red dye and put two and two together.
