We'll have a couple of anytime FP's (that we were given by guest relations after a snafu), and, with Soarin' down, we're going to burn one on Illuminations, which we wouldn't normally do.
Typically, we don't stake out a spot for Illuminations more than 30 minutes in advance, and we always manage to get a good spot. I've heard that people get to the Illuminations FP area really early, but I don't want to wait longer with a FP than I would without one.
Any suggestions as to how early we would need to get there? And, if we're only willing to wait a half hour, would we be better off watching from somewhere else? Also, I think I've seen reports that it's not bad standing in the back of the FP area because there's a bit of a rise, but I can't find that info anywhere to confirm. We'll be there on Friday, March 4, which should be a 5 per Josh.
