Can anyone tell me how they liked or disliked these restaurants? I have never been to either one and I am considering them. Thanks!!!

Loved the Garden Grill! Very different from everything else. It's also served family style in a very private booth, well except for the characters dropping by. My SIL loves Tepan Edo, but I've not been there.

We love Garden Grill. We have tons of restaurants by us like Tepan Edo(cook in front of you).

I haven't been to Garden Grill, but Teppan Edo was one of our favorites last week. While all the cooks do a bit of a "show", some put on more of a show than others - the cook beside our table was flipping food up and catching it in her hat! And no, she didn't serve that food to the diners! It is a little noisy though. But the food was delicious, and lots of it.

We've went to both places last June and really like both of them. Garden Grill is a very relaxed character meal. The place revolved very slowly and you can see into the Livin With Land ride. You can sit in booths in the lower level or tables in the upper level. We liked the booths. The food is a fixed menu served family style. Quality is just OK. The dessert was very yummy. The characters are Chip, Dale, Mickey and Pluto. Mickey is dressed in overalls. (Pictures are in my June trip report link below) We got lots of quality time with the characters. They circulated twice.

Teppan Edo is a quality place with great food and a great atmosphere. Our chef put on a great shop and involved all the kids. He played tic-tac-toe on the grill with the zucchini sticks and onion rings. Then he made a volano with the onion rings, put some hot oil inside it and made it smoke. The food was delicious. It is a expensive if not on DDP.

Both places were very good. Have a great time.

Does anyone remember how many people fit to a table at Teppan Edo? We're going with my parents and sister's family, so I was trying to figure out how to break up the reservations.
Thanks!

At least 8 fit at Teppan Edo - we were 5 and they added a party of 3 to our table - can't remember if there were any empty seats after that....

We enjoyed both restaurants on our last trip!! Very different experiences, but both entertaining with really good food!

Have fun deciding!! (You can always do the other one next time....:yay::yay:)

We ate at both this past December. My DH fell in love with GG, he loved everything about it. I thought the food was good and loved our server and the character interaction. The girls really loved the fact that the restaurant rotates as you eat. As for Teppan Edo, we all thought it was very good but a bit pricey. Our chef was funny and really played around with both DDs :goodvibes, since this was my B-day trip and I had on my B-day button, they brought out a chef's hat to wear and I could not take it off until bedtime...and since my kids and DH thought that was hilarious, they made sure I kept to the rules :rotfl:

We have gone to Teppan Edo twice and loved it both times. Once, there were 8 people at our table and the last time we went there were 9 people at our table. All were adults with the 9 people. The food is great and the show is always fun.

I love Tepan Edo. The food was wonderful, cooked to perfection. The chefs are entertaining and even my youngest guys stayed amused.
Garden Grill is a nice relaxing meal. They bring platters to your table and refills on anything you would like. I found the character interaction was amazing. Chip and Dale took time to dance with my 3 and 5 year old. Chip came back a little later and my DD curled up on her lap on the floor and I thought she was going to have a nap on Chip as he rocked her back and forth. It was adorable.

We have only been to the Garden Grill--and we loved it! We were there last August and I think it was my DS12 favorite meal and we had the Deluxe Dining Plan. He's still talking about the Blueberry Bruckle dessert. It's on the top of our list when we come back. :)

We have been to Teppan Edo many times, lots of food and it is good but our local joint is much cheaper, more food and you get soup, salad, appie and fried rice there so we tend to skip TE now

Garden Grill is a lot of fun. The food is good, but the character interaction is what makes this place worth going to.

If you have a place like TE near you, then I wouldn't use it to take up a WDW meal. The food is alright, nothing great. The "shows" that the chefs do is nothing that the similar places do. As a previous paster said, the places like that that are by me include the salad, soup, appitiser and cost less than TE.

Boy they both have such good comments. Now I want to go to both!! Thank you for telling me about your experiences!
