Can you tell me your experiences with child switch? We have not been to the parks with a child under the height restriction in a long time. The little one going with us is 36", so she won't be able to ride the big rides. How does child switch work? And can it be used for Rise of the Resistance? And I think we get the pass from each attraction? Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated! We'll have a group of 8.

We’re here now and have been using rider swap, it’s been really smooth! You just go up to the fast pass entrance and ask the CM there for a rider swap. They scan the tickets of the people staying behind while the first group goes through the normal line. Then when the first group is back, the group that waited scans their tickets and is allowed to go through the fast pass line.

Worked the same way for Rise - you just have to show your boarding pass first.

Thank you! Do you happen to know if there is a limit to how many can reride? We're just trying to figure out how to make the groups work best since the family we are going with are riding for the first time and we want to experience it as much as we can with them!

We just did this - the cast member allowed one person from the first party to re-ride with the second party. Hope this helps!

It used to be three additional could reride, but I feel like I read it was going to change to two. And now the poster below is reporting only one person (yikes).

Bummer! We'll have to figure this out. Thank you both, it's helpful to know this ahead of time so we can be prepared.

It usually depends on the ride. Many rides are just +1. But some rides, where seating is 3, like Racers or Matterhorn, they allow +2.

I asked at Soarin and Rise since those were our first times using rider swap and was told 2 ppl could re-ride (so 3 ppl total if you include the person who didn’t ride). Every time we used it, CMs scanned 3 tickets even though we were 2 adults, 1 child and 1 baby so we only needed 1 re-ride.

Back on Rise today and now they let 2 re-ride. So I’m not sure if it depends on the cast member or what. They said it was 1 person waiting with child + a max of 2 re-riders, but not sure if that changes if more than 1 person waits. It was kinda hectic so I didn’t ask for much clarification. Good luck!

Which doesn't really make sense as they seat in rows of 4. It is a ride that could be +3 if the group had enough people. Or only a +1 and use another group of 2.

I just came back with a large group of four families with lots of small kids so we used rider swap a lot. Seems to me that whenever I asked for a rider swap the CM would scan them onto three tickets for me and they didn’t seem to care whose tickets got scanned or who actually used them. I think the magic number for rider swap is 3 regardless of the ride.
