Experiences with being in the park on super bowl sunday?

I am considering this for next year or 2017. I know crowds--in general--are lighter in late January and early February. If you've been in any park on Super Bowl Sunday were the crowds even lower than that (as I imagine they would be) or is the trend the opposite of what I would expect?

Any information would be grand, but please include what park you were in.

I have been in both Epcot and the Magic Kingdom on Super bowl Sunday. The crowds are certainly lighter at that time of year anyway. Magic Kingdom was slower than normal, but it was by no means "dead". There were many small kids there and very young families, I would imagine because kids that young don't care about the Superbowl.

Epcot was another story entirely. We walked on Soarin at 7:00 pm. The World Showcase was a literal ghost town. It was glorious! We watched Illuminations from the bridge between UK and France and just walked up as the show was starting, and there was room between us and the family next to us. It was almost eerie. Now, it was also VERY cold that evening, like the low 30's.

We had dinner at flying fish at 9:30ish and we were literally the only table in the restaurant. We could tell when something was going on with the game, because we could hear the cheering from ESPN

From what I have read here its doesn't have much if any impact. Even if the Super Bowl is played in Florida.

I was at Epcot last Superbowl, and it was very quiet. We had been bumped from our flight (thank goodness, for DH's sake) so DH and DS were at the provided hotel watching the game, and I went to Epcot. I decided early on I just wanted to wander and drink a large Ephemere Cherry beer from Canada, so I rode Figment for the first time ever, got my beer, and just sipped and walked. It was just so quiet.

FP+ was pretty new and having issues, and I couldn't change ANY of the arrangements I had made just the hour before; no other rides for my times, no other times for my rides, so I gave up on all of them and just wandered.

Correct.

There is no effect one way or the other on crowds.

We were there for Super Bowl XLV Feb 6 2011. Packers vs Steelers. I was born and raised in Green Bay and we still live in Wisconsin. It was great. There were Packer Fans everywhere. We went to the MVP parade. It was so great. Packer Fans poured into MK. They came by monorail, they came by bus, they came by boat. I have a fantastic photo of Aaren Rodgers with Mickey. They were just a couple feet away. We watched the game in our room. I heard that the ESPN Sports bar put bleachers outside with a jumbo screen. The parks did not seem any less crowded. We ate at Brown Derby that day and had a long wait.
