Hi. I’m looking for some fun family activities and souvenirs at World Showcase. For example, last time the kids loved the pick a pearl experience in Japan. I was thinking maybe each pick a Christmas ornament in Germany that they can keep for years to come. We do not go often. 2nd trip for the older two. Possibly only trip for the youngest.

Which things have your kids enjoyed? Any special keepsakes they still love?

Thank you for any suggestions!

My kids loved the kidcot scavenger hunt. Took a few trips to get to all the countries but they had a blast doing it. They also got to experience Beverly for the first time last trip

My kids had so much fun doing the Agent P Adventure throughout World Showcase. And, surprisingly, my wife and I really enjoyed doing some of the missions along with them. (And we especially enjoyed having a pleasant drink while the kids did other missions on their own.) Agent P has (finally) been replaced with DuckTales World Showcase Adventure. We haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I'm hoping that it's a similarly clever and fun activity.

They have beautiful, handcrafted Oaxacan animal carvings in the Mexico pavilion. Your children could watch the artists and, perhaps, pick out a small animal to take home?

Most of the Cultural Representatives are back now.

Your kids may enjoy talking with them and maybe get a picture with them in each Country.

There is usually one at each KidCot table and they are a lot of fun to talk to.

Great idea. We did the elephant tour when we went before and talking with the tour guide from Africa was my middle child’s favorite part!

Awesome!

Other than China and Morocco,World Showcase is back to around 90% Cultural Representatives.

So much fun to hear their accents and learn about their cultures.

The Kidcot stations are free and fun. Sometimes the CM's will draw a little flag, or a sorta flag. (Like they might draw a Mickey in the colors of the flag, something like that, a rough approximation of the flag.) Other times CM's offered to write a name or greeting in each language.

Some times of year the countries now have free scavenger hunts. They also have some where you can pay money to get a prize.

If you are going now, or very soon, China has merchandise to mark the year of the Rabbit.

At present, the merchandise is a bit limited in many gift shops. Going back many years though, by far, we think the best gift shop is Japan. On our most recent visit though it still looked very empty compared to prior years.

One other aspect of Epcot's WS is it really depends what you have back home, and what you know. For example, someone who lives near the Canadian border probably has access to plenty of Canadian goods. Someone from the Southwest probably has access to plenty of Mexican goods at much lower prices than Epcot. Epcot prices are crazy high compared to Canadian goods bought in Vermont, or Mexican goods sold in California.

One option might be to give your kids a giftcard, and they get to choose how to spend it. Just if you go that route, I advise to do your best to really let them choose what THEY want. If they don't later love what they bought, that is okay.
