Has anyone had experience adding nights to an existing reservation at Candy Cane Inn? I initially made a reservation for 3 nights. I later added one night (nightly rate had gone up by $20). Later, I added 2 additional nights (nightly rate had gone up by $50, compared to initial reservation prices).

I noticed in my confirmation that they are charging me the highest rate for all 6 nights. When I have added nights in the past to other hotel reservations, I keep the initial rate that I received when I booked that portion of the trip. So in this case, 3 nights would be $239/per night, 1 night would be $259/night and the last 2 nights would be $289/night. They are charging me $289/night for all 6 nights.

Is this a normal CCI thing?

I wouldn’t think so, depending on when you are booked, I.e., a high demand time, short notice. Call the hotel direct and talk to them…I’ve had goof luck doing that when I had special requests.

I second calling the hotel directly.
I plan on it, I was just curious to hear if anyone experienced the same thing before. I have already communicated with them 3 times regarding other mistakes they have made with my reservation and it is getting a little old having to keep such a close eye on them doing their job.
