Experienced fishermen on Eastern 7-Day...charter from St. Maarten??

Thought I'd try to get this figured out...we are planning an extended family cruise in late November (11/27-12/4)and will be on the Eastern 7-Day. My father and brothers are all VERY experienced deep-sea fishermen, and I know it would be such a TREAT for them to get out on the water again especially in the Caribbean.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we can go about booking a fishing expedition for the time when we are in St. Maarten? Has anyone does this before...any tips??

Thank you for ANY information...I know this would probably be the highlight of their cruise, and I so want them to have a good time.

I don't know about St. Maarten, but would be interested in hearing anyone's experience.

My DH has done the CC excursion and really enjoyed it. You should pre-book it, because it is often sold out.

We tried fishing in Cozumel and had a bad experience. Crew didn't speak English, very limited tackle, no bathroom on the boat, NO FISH! and I got seasick (despite the bonine). One other thing to consider is the timing of the trip. Most fishing seems to be best in the early morning or early evening, and the all ashore times aren't very well set up for this. Usually the earliest you can get on the water is 9:00 or so, and you usually need to be back on board by 4:00, so the best fishing times aren't while you can use them.

Thre are a bunch of companies, but this one I have always heard good things about. After you catch your fish, you go back to the restaurant and cook it. i jut don't know if there is enough time to make it while on a cruise ship. Lees Roadside Grill and charter fishing
