Does anyone have any reviews on the packages for pictures? Either through the website or even on the ship? Our package for "all images plus prints" is $439.99 for a 9 day cruise.

So my question is, is it REALLY all the pictures they take? Or does it not include character pictures or pictures taken on the second Sunday or pictures taken on deck 5 aft or some other crazy restriction?

Also, my parents are coming and have my 2 girls in their room (yeah for grandparents!). I'm pretty sure I can include my girls in the deal because they are under 18, but will they include pictures that my parents are in? Or will they exclude them to make us pay more money?

I'd love to hear real life circumstances from people that purchased the packages. Thanks so much for your answers. I'm loving all you kindred Disney Souls!!!!

I have done the unlimited photo CD on 8 cruises now and yes, it really is all photos. On one cruise I added all prints and that was accurate, too. Every now and again a photo does not make it on the kiosk, but you just take the photo to the desk and they add it manually. Everything that is on the kiosk will be on the CD. The only photos that would not be included is if you decide to have a private photo shoot.

As to question about you parents, as long as at least one member of your nuclear family is in the photo, the photo will be on the CD. If your parents have photos taken of just themselves, they won't be. I have pre-ordered the CD for my last cruise and will do this again for my upcoming cruise.

Thank you for your answer Corinna!! I feel better about it now. It's just SO MUCH MONEY, I would hate to get scammed.

If you are wondering about pre-paying for the package, I'd suggest waiting. The package purchased on board is the same price but you get to see what your purchasing. I was all set to buy a package and found at the end that there were only about a half dozen pictures in our packet worth having. We ended up skipping it.

I highly recommend doing this. Get as many photos taken as you can. We've done it on both of our cruises. You don't need to buy it before your cruise. We bought it on our first cruise and then on our last one we did the package of 20 photos because that was all we really liked. They send you home with the CD of all your photos and then you "unlock" whatever amount you buy. I know some people who literally have hundreds of photos taken. That's what I plan on doing on our next cruise! I think the photos are well worth it. If you choose not to pay extra for the printing or want duplicates, they'll provide a release that allows you to have them printed elsewhere.

You don't have to buy them all. You can buy 10 or 20, I believe.

minimum for a disk was $150 for 10. but with only 5 or 6 pictures worth anything, that was too much.

But this is still kind of my original point, don't pre-buy it, wait and see what it is when you get there. If it's good, buy it, if not, don't.

I don't think this is correct anymore. The pre-purchase option for our Panama Canal cruise next month has now been released. They advertise that buying it online will give you the best price and the pre-purchase price is $60 than what I have paid for the previous 14 or 15 nights cruises. That buys quite a few drinks of the day. It is also fully refundable.

If it's not correct, then they just changed it, our cruise was last week.

The information was updated on the website when they added the cruises from April 27th onwards earlier this week.

Get the Picture! is available in various package sizes. Purchasing online through My Cruise Photos guarantees the best possible price. Prices online will never be higher than prices onboard, and the "All Your Digital Photos" package is offered at a discount online.

Just looked online for prices for upcoming cruises, and the prices haven't changed, they are the same as we just saw onboard. I see the phrase "Online pricing is the same or in many cases lower than onboard prices." in our experience it was the same price and it just wasn't worth it. Since the price is the same and there is no savings due to purchasing in advance (search the threads here, this is a common topic.) why bother dealing with refunds since you can just buy it there? the desk was not busy all week, plenty of time to do it onboard.

Did you look at the limited photos packages or at the package that includes all the photos? We did a 5 night cruise in December and I paid $249 for all the photos. I checked some five night cruises online and this is $211.75 for all photos. As I do not believe for a minute that the prices have generally gone down, I do believe their claim that there is an online discount.

I compared the online prices for an upcoming cruise identical to the one we just got off of, the prices are the same as we saw online before we left, and while we were onboard. You are correct that the prices do vary depending on the length of the cruise. Keep in mind that the company that does the pictures also does other cruise lines, perhaps the prices charged onboard other lines carry higher premiums. I do not believe for a second that they are giving a discount for advance purchasing.

In our case the price would not have mattered, the photographers were not taking pictures we wanted to have and consequently we did not end up with many pictures. The pictures all have Disney borders which I did not want, but you can't remove them. and when there are only a couple good shots, the prices end up over 30 bucks a picture. I have several hundred excellent pictures that I took on my own, they are costing me between 13 cents and 1.49 to print them depending on the size of the frame.

I am now back from our Panama Canal cruise and thought it was only fair to post an update. I had pre-purchased the unlimited photo CD online before we left and paid $339.00. On the ship, the same product was $399.95 so there is a discount after all. I also seem to remember that you could add all prints for $75 online and on the ship this was an extra $100.

The pre-purchase price is cheaper than my cruise in July. I would like to purchase this but there is no CD option just the photo prints. Do you know if I can purchase the CD onboard?

That is strange. What cruise are you on? Feel free to PM me if you do not want this info out in the open. I am sure that you can still purchase the CD onboard.

The pre-purchase price for the all photos package for July 5, 2014 is $295.95. I recall paying around $399 last year for the all photos and CD last year for a 7 night cruise.

How receptive are they to doing candid shots? Does that ever happen?? I would hate to have 200 of the same posed photo, just different locations and characters. Can you pay a little extra for them to take some shots around the ship?
