Experience with DFTW

I'm approaching my 30-day cutoff and I have yet to speak with our assigned wedding planner. We had a preliminary virtual planning session with a different wedding planner who I guess happened to have time for a call so we spoke with her instead back in mid-November. We've also had calls with DFAP and floral folks which were very helpful, and we went to the menu tasting event a couple weeks ago which we had a great experience. But now that we're getting closer to our wedding and in fact our 30-day cutoff is just days away, we still need to finalize things and all I'm getting is an updated estimate from their accounting department and crickets from the wedding planning team.

I know this is a busy time of the year with the holidays and everyone taking time off but I'm legit freaking out at this point. Is it just me, or anyone else has had similar experiences? I thought DFTW was supposed to be better than this?

We actually ended up deciding to have a local wedding instead of a Disney wedding. We hadn't had any trouble up to the 10-month mark, which is when we ultimately decided not to go ahead, but I've heard that DFTW can be tricky to work with. It seems to all work out well in the end for the vast majority of couples, but I totally understand how frustrating it must be! All the best for your big day 😊

You do NOT have to make your 30-day payment if you still haven't received a finalized BEO from your Wedding Event Services Manager. Contact your Wedding Consultant (the sales consultant who created your Letter of Agreement and took your deposit) to tell them that your 30-day mark is coming up and you can't get ahold of your Wedding Event Services Manager. They can help you get in touch!

Ok great, that's really good to know that I don't have to make my payment if I haven't received a finalized BEO. Thank you! We finally got a hold of our wedding planner and she assured us the 30-day cutoff has been extended a week due to the holidays. Still, I think it's going to be close since I gave her a laundry list of items to do/iron out, and I have yet to hear back.

Thank you! I hope you had a wonderful local wedding :) We're at the point of no return so I can't give up now lol. I guess I will have to fight until the end to make this into a success.

Oh gosh, good luck!!! I hope you have a fabulous wedding!!!

On my end, got another email from accounting asking for payment this morning...I coldly told them no and then they forwarded my response to my wedding planner smh. As if I'm the one being difficult!
