Experience With Alamo Or Dollar at SNA?

Right now I have two reservations for our rental car. Our lowest rate is from Dollar Rental Car and other is from Alamo. The difference is about $41, so not a huge difference, but a difference. We always rent with Alamo when we travel to Orlando because we like that we can check in ahead of time and go straight to our car instead of stopping at a counter or kiosk. It appears neither company has that policy in SNA, so I am wondering which reservation to stay with. Does anyone have any experience with either of these companies in SNA?

I am interested in this as well. I have a Dollar reservation there too. Do they not have the express or whatever they call it at Dollar at that location? I didn't know that. I had originally booked with Thrifty but then saw that Thrifty was an offsite car rental location and I don't want that.

We have used Dollar twice and will use them again next week :-) Super easy - from the luggage pick-up area follow directions to the car rental offices (basically take a left and keep going ;)), the Dollar office is in the underground parking lot, right next to it are the cars. Took us all of 5 minutes to get our car. The agents have always been friendly, the cars are clean and in good shape - we just get the economy cars and they are always pretty nice.

There are always good and bad things, and with John Wayne, you have an on-property Rental area run by the airport, and is located in the parking structure, where space is tight, and why you don't see too much "express" options from the rental companies at John Wayne.

But they are all close and easy to access, and quick to leave.

Booked through Costco I always take the cheapest. Then I look again as we get closer to the trip. I just saved another $12 this week. Lol

But not at SNA. We don't rent a car at dlr.

I only rent from Dollar or Silvercar now (but that's not at SNA ;) ) - even if they don't have "express" options - sign up for dollar express, usually they will have a separate queue and will call you before the rest of the line - plus they won't try to sell you on upgrades, insurance etc. It's worth it to not hear a high pressure sales pitch that can be the case with car rentals.
