Experience using groupon for Character in Flight?

We are going to Disney and I see there is a groupon available. I am debating buying but wonder if anyone has had issues in the past with them not operating due to weather while your there and not being able to use your groupon. I feel like a lot of the time it doesn't operate and hate to be out the $40. You can not buy it the same day you plan on using it either so I can't just buy it and walk up and use it. Thoughts?

Watching this post because my wife wants to do it. A few months ago when we were in Disney Springs, it was grounded due to high winds.

This can help me at least since we are going tomorrow. If we don't use it due to weather I can cancel my groupon.

When can I cancel a purchase for a Local deal?
