Experiances at South Harbor Blvd Hotels?

Hi! Looking at maybe doing a trip in early December. We've previously done Best Western Park Place Inn, Tropicana, and Fairfield Inn. I was wondering if anyone had any notable experiances, good or bad with the other walking distance hotels on South Harbor?

My go to hotel is Desert Inn and Suites.

Very similar to Tropicana, except the pool is inside and not something I use. They had a basic grab and go breakfast in a breakfast room, laundry, luggage store, vending machines. I dont have a car so I dont know what the parking is like.

Ive never had issues with noise, either from the hotel guests or on the street, the staff are always nice and the rooms, while basic are perfect for what I need, as I spend about 14 hours each day in the parks.

We stayed at Park Vue in 2022 and loved the proximity to the park. We've also stayed at Desert Inn several times (2015, 2017, 2018) and overall it was fine. We liked the room size options there.

Another Desert Inn & Suites frequenter. It is close, clean & comfortable and most importantly one of the lesser expensive hotels across from the entrance to Disneyland. The breakfast is very basic (cereal, packaged muffins/pastry) but doesn't start until 7am, so not a great option for those who like be in line at security before they open at 7am.

We really like Park Vue (staying next month), candy cane, and Hojo. Also like grand legacy and they have sales quite a bit. Make sure you sign up for their email list.

We always liked Desert Inn for our family because of the suite arrangement. Relatively inexpensive and we always got the basic set-up where you get a bonus room, which allows family members to watch TV, read, etc away from the sleeping quarters. It has a queen couch that is a hide-a-bed so with a 2-Q room and the bonus there are 3 queen beds. The breakfast isn't a lot but it's free and a nice thing to be able to grab fruit, cereal, toast, etc and something to drink before heading to the park. It always used to be the least expensive option for us that was right across the street and housed the 5 of us comfortably. I say "used to be" because the kids are now grown up!

We like the Fairfield Marriott. The bed is comfortable for us and it's an easy walk to the parks. Having Panera right there is also handy for a quick breakfast.

We like the Best Western Anaheim Inn for the location and for the wonderful free hot breakfast. The breakfast will fill you up before you head to the parks. Also you can grab some granola bars and other snacks to eat later. One con for this motel is there is no in-room safe.

I am cheap, but want to stay within a 1/2 mile walk to the park. My go-to's are Anaheim Hotel, Castle Inn and Suites (usually a good rate to be found at Getaway Today . com... am I allowed to say that here? Please delete if not.)... Dessert Palms, and every once in awhile I'll see a good rate at Desert Inn and Suites. (I just choose whichever of these is the cheapest for my dates.) Stayed at the Howard Johnson on Harbor Blvd last trip and while the hotel and grounds were *very* comfortable, staff was VERY helpful, the walk felt long, and unless I secured a *very* good rate, I probably would not stay there again.

** Edited to add: I often travel solo, and feel very comfortable staying alone in these hotels.

We stay at the Best Western Anaheim Inn and really like it. We used to stay at its sister hotel the Best Western Park Place and recently tried the Anaheim Inn and prefer it. Breakfast room is great, lots of storage space in the rooms - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it (or the Park Place, for that matter - they're both really good and very close).
