Expensive Salon Shampoo vs. Drugstore Shampoo

I've always used salon products but I almost died when my stylist recommended Pureology and I saw the price. I do think it's worth it, though. I thought the shampoo smelled like pet shampoo so I stopped using it for awhile and my color didn't look nearly as nice. I color very close to my natural color.

I use Bumble and Bumble styling products and I like them. I liked the shampoo the first time I used it but the second bottle didn't seem to work as well. I also don't like the hairspray.

I'll have to try the B&B anti-frizz stuff. My ends get really frizzy in the humidity.

Both my DD's swim year round on a swim team so I do use salon shampoo only for chlorine reasons but I use drugstore conditioner.

I can't use the drug store stuff, there is too much wax or something in it and it makes my hair limp. I like biolage. I have been using it for about 5 years now and my hair is fine. DD12 needs that wax or whatever in the drugstore stuff to tame her frizzies. She got some travel sizes of Purology and she likes the smell but they make her hair REALLY frizzy, plus mom won't spend $50 on shampoo for a 12 year old . I can't remember the name of the drug store stuff she uses, comes in an orange bottle with an oval top.

I use the expensive stuff as well. Was using Biolage but now I am a firm beleiver in the WEN product line. You can only get it on QVC (or if you go to this Salon in CA). I have been using it for about 9 months now and I just love it. It is not actually a shampoo. It is a cleansing conditioner without the harsh shampoo stuff. So, it is an all in one product that does not lather. It has worked wonders on my hair. I use a straightening iron everyday and my hair would get so damaged. Not anymore - it styles much better and not frizzy and fly-away. I sure can notice the difference when I now use a different shampoo. It is spendy but worth it. (About $28 for a 16 oz bottle - but lasts for about 4-6 weeks).

I want to try this. Coloring my hair has damaged it. Too bad QVC will not ship to the military serving overseas. I can't get Bare Minerals either.

I love Aveda! I need to have my mother bring me some in a few weeks. I also love Caviar.
I just got this White Truffle stuff instead of the Caviar. Wanted to try something new.
