Expensive Food Trend

LOL, so true! Popcorn and a soda is like $10.

This is so true! Whenever we are tempted to go see a movie in a theater, we do 'Disney' math...one trip for the four of us, $34 for tickets, $15 for popcorn and drinks if we can convince the kids to share, and $7 for one candy for each of them...$56 is enough for lunch and dinner (two meals split two ways) at DLR! We plop the cash into our family piggy bank and watch one of our DVDs or something on cable! :lmao:

:rotfl2: We started buying a movie every two weeks rather than actually going to the movies.

I did take the kids though yesterday to see College Roadtrip It was $22 for the matinee tickets (4 of us), $5 for candy from the Dollar Store, and $11 for popcorn and a drink. $39 for NOTHING! At least Disney provides cool memories. pixiedust:

Exactly!!!

Although $22 for matinee...what is that about!! Still cheaper than ours, we are at $6.50 each! This dates me, but I can remember being angry when regular prices went to $6.50!

I hear ya. We do have one theater nearby that still has $2 tickets. Your feet stick to the floor, the kids who work there are uber rude, and it smells to high heaven but it's only $2. :lmao:
