Expedition Everest

My family will be at Animal Kingdom on Thursday, January 26th. If anyone would be interested in adopting us that day, we would greatly appreciate it! We have up to 4 people that would LOVE to see it! Please PM me if you would be willing to help us out. Thanks so much!

It's just for DVC members, not AP holders right? Are you a DVC owner Boom?

It was just announced that it will be for AP holders as well.

do any of you think there will be rides for those other than dvc? I mean just how many DVC people are there going to be there in Jan? Wouldn't they want some of us "peons" to have a try????

Personally it will eat me up to see people be riding and be told my family can't go, I mean I don't mind DVC people getting the free lanyards etc, but isn't this type of practice (excluding those less financially fortunate) something Walt would have frowned upon?

I guess if they continue with this type of thing, the next step will be the rumored fast passes done by the type of resort you stay at (ie deluxes get more) Sorry if I sound grumpy, but this type of practice does bother me a bit. However to all of you DVC people PLEASE enjoy the priveledge and tell us how cool this ride is!!!

PM coming your way Boom - although I think I might be 10 minutes too late!

(I will make sure to post when I get "adopted"!)

i'm a desperate non-dvc/non-AP person who'd like to ride EE - we'll have 4 adult riders in our group who will fight it out to take any spots that you may have....will anyone be there on Jan. 26th any time between 9 a.m.-1 p.m.?? please pm me. - Jenny

I am DVC/AP so if any of you would like to adopt me and fly me out there during the preview I will gladly let you ride EE as my guests :earboy2: (Hey, it never hurts to try....)

AP holders may not be able to bring guests, so I still need a buddy!

So...AP holders are allowed to take guests as well? Just making sure because I didn't see that specifically in the notice. ;)

All of the passholder previews I have been to required that each person have an AP. You were not allowed to bring guest. I think the DVC thing works differently because there is one DVC card for a family??!!??!!

Would love to jump on board too if all DVCers aren't taken. I can be there anytime on the 26th or the 27th..even the morning of the 28th although that is the day we leave.
Looking for space for my 2 daughters(7 and 11) and husband. (I think my girls would be too chicken to go without him).

Please PM me if anyone has open space.

Thanks so much... and thanks to everyone who started the "matching up" idea.

I really doubt it, especially for this preview. The AP preview wording doesn't mention guests, while the DVC one does.

Okay then I still need a buddy. Thanks for letting me know!

That seems kind of weird. Can't even have 1 guest? That would mean I'd have to ride by myself.

Yikes! :scared1:

I guess Disney figures everyone in the same party will have an AP. Believe me, the Cast Members check each and every AP.

There is one DVC card for every person on the deed. We have two cards for our family.

I'm a DVC owner and my daughter and I are making a special trip down from Philly just to get a chance to take a ride on EE. We will be at AK on 1/26 in the late morning/early afternoon and then again on and off between on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If someone is willing to be flexible on the time that they would ride, I have one open seat that I could offer up. Let's aim for sometime late morning/early afternoon on 1/26. First to PM me can have it. We can work out the details online.

Funny, but I feel just the opposite. We scrimped and saved to be able to afford DVC, as Disney is our one true vice. We do OK, but we aren't wealthy. So when Disney offers us a perk like this, I'm thrilled. We were coincidentally going to be at Disney anyway, so this will make our trip extra special!

The fact that all these folks who aren't DVC or AP are getting rides off this board during our preview time, even though they don't really qualify, actually kinda burns me. Not trying to rain on anyone's parade -- we don't have a clue yet when we'll be at AK and we'll be with a big group so we couldn't take others anyway. But all you extras will add to my wait time ;) (Please read the sarcasm here)!!!

For regular folks, the official opening is Spring '06. If you definitely wanted to ride EE, you should have planned your trip for later in the year. Or, be like the rest of the folks on these boards and get creative with your begging!!!
