Expedition everest

Ride it. Not bad at all, and nothing as intense as what you'll find at Six Flags. It is a very fun ride and you'll be glad you did it. Our kids loved it. As a PP pointed out, Space Mtn is more intense because it is in the dark almost the entire time and you can't see. Everest is an awesome themed coaster and fun for everyone.

I'd recommend doing expedition Everest near the end of the day if at all possible in case they don't like it and it makes them feel strange for a while

DD was 4 when she rode it. She watched the videos and wanted to ride. She hated it. She loves splash, BTMRR, 7DMT, but EE was just too much. She didn't like the feeling in her tummy. Same when she rode ToT (which she also wanted to ride after watching video of it). It all depends on the kid.only one way to find out :P

Following up, my wife disagreed that this should be first ride if they haven't been on coasters before, so disagreement in our household on the issue.

I certainly wouldn't discourage your kids from riding it. As others have mentioned, it is an intense roller coaster, but I think people all experience it a bit differently. The first time I rode EE I was with my 6 and 9 year old nephews as well as my 65-year old grandparents... they all loved it, but only wanted to ride it once.

My little girl went for the first time when she was 4. She loved it. She's not overly adventurous. But not easily scared either. The rides that were the scariest for her were ToT and SM. It was bc of the dark. And at ToT, all the build up was more scary than the ride itself :) i was so scared for her on those 2 rides, but after we did them she was rather proud of herself and came home bragging to our family that she rode the tower of terror! But at the end of the day, you know your children. You can always plan to go, let them watch what the ride does and if they want to back out, then do that :)
