Expedition Everest sponsored by Coke? :-)

Dr. Pepper is part of Seven Up, Inc. (which is owned by Schweppes)

That's why you can't get it in the parks.

14. Who owns Dr Pepper? I heard it was owned by
Coke/Pepsi/7-Up/etc.?

"Awoodbeach" (awoodbeach@aol.com) put it succinctly when he posted
this answer to alt.fan.dr-pepper on 10/24/97:

"Dr Pepper is owned by Dr Pepper / Seven Up Inc a subsidiary of the
Cadbury PLC trading on the NYSE [as CSG -- Chris F.]. Dr Pepper is
distributed throughout the country by a variety of some very dedicated
bottlers who without them, the Dr Pepper brand would not be where it
is today. Coke, Pepsi, and RC bottlers sell Dr Pepper; it all depends
on who owns the franchise in a specific geographic area. The
breakdown is about 30% Coke, 40% Pepsi, 20% and some who just sell Dr
Pepper......like our friends in Dublin."

I never paid much attention to who owns DP, but our local ACME's and Shoprite's usually flip-flop each week the brand of soda- Coke or Pepsi- that will be on sale. DP is always included with the Coke products.

One imagines that the Disney deal was done directly with Coke Corp - not with a local bottler.

I stand by my original statement. Only Coke products will be found in the parks until somebody else 'makes them an offer they can't refuse'.

oh yeah..as far as DR. Pepper goes that is the North American Rights only...Coke owns the rights for the rest of the world.
