Expedition Everest - Reviews?

Has anyone ridden Expedition Everest yet? Any reviews or comments?

Those of us in our party (Me, DW, and DS5) that rode it all loved it. Fun, fast, and some "down in your seat" forces.

We did NOT, however, enjoy the 5 hours we had to wait to go back with our Fast Pass (especially since it was "Africa hot", and the Lion King show had technical difficulties and had to cancel - and you have to cover LOTS of ground in that park). Go EARLY and get a Fast Pass (or ride, if you're really lucky).

Don't know about that wait. Guess it just depends on when you visit the Animal Kingdom. I was last there on Sunday, March 19, and there was, it seemed to me a very large crowd, especially around the area of the coaster enterance, but I got lucky I reckon.

At about 1:30 I got into the standby line even though I was traveling solo, and could have used the single rider line, because it was my first time to ride the coaster, and I had read (on these boards), that the line was very interesting. As I remember it, the wait time was posted at 80 minutes; but I asked the CM at the enterance about that wait time and he said it was not as long as posted. I waited less than half the posted time, and it was worth it as the exhibits on line were interesting indeed.

After riding the coaster, I got right back into line, this time using the single rider line, and was on the ride in about five to ten minutes. (No more than that.)

The previous poster must have just hit the attraction at a very bad time I guess.

Anyhow, it is a great ride and I would recommend it to one and all. If you have to wait a bit, well, it's a theme park. lol

I went in February and got to ride EE 4 times We went and got fast passes and after my niece and son ride they hated it, so we had their fast passes and me and my mom swapped going on again, then rode again with FP's we had gotten for ourselves the first time and by that time our final FP time was coming up so after we hit Kali we got on EE 1 last time. It is awesome...Definitely try and got on more then once, I saw more the second third and then final time (the Yeti at the end I missed the first time).

I got to ride EE on 04-07-06. I was with a group of ten kids that I was chaperoning. They all loved it. We got there when it opened at about 11:30. There were signs that it wasn't supposed to open until 2 o'clock. It was the official grand opening. We got on the first time with almost no wait, got off and there was still a very short line, so we got back on. During the first ride another chaperone got us fast passes and we were able to ride it for a third time a few hours later. The fast passes were gone very early, so be sure to get them soon after arriving.

It is a very fun ride! I like it better than Rockin' Rollercoaster. I got to ride in the front in the first time. Fantastic! I heard several people ask if we had gone upsidedown on EE! You go very fast and very steep backwards! It's partly inside, partly outside. It's great fun and the Yeti is huge. This picture is from the third time we got on. Just back from WDW. Theming for EE is amazing. Be sure to take the time to admire the work outside the queue also. Great attention to detail. Fastpassed immediately upon park opening, rode in queue, rode single rider, rode with FP. All in all, about 7 rides over 2 days with never more than a 10 minute wait. Fast and fun, not scary. Great view from top. Clever ride!
