Giant Adventure: Jurassic World VelociCoaster opens at Universal

I hate to do Expedition Everest like this, but I love a good launch coaster.

I rode EE 10x in a row my first trip to WDW AK, Velocicoaster was cool and a really interesting ride but I was done after 3. But my opinion could be biased due to wait time comparison.

I love roller coasters. I would rate Everest a 4 out if 10. VeliociCoaster is a 10/10.

EE is a sentimental favorite for me and my son. We ride over and over again. So I have to vote for EE.

VC is a fantastic state of the art coaster though and I wouldn't fault anyone for voting VC. I'm not a coaster junkie though so VC is a once a day ride for me.

Everest has better theming but Velocicoaster is a significantly better coaster.
This is my thoughts exactly. I really enjoy Everest and everything from the queue, to the mountain looks great. Even all the details in the little shrine on the lift hill you barely get a chance to see. But for it's size the coaster is pretty lacking in thrills itself.
Velocicoaster on the other hand is one of, if not the best coaster I have ever ridden. Quick paced transitions, high speed launches, inversion, thrills, all while being very smooth. And while Everest has the better theming, VC isn't lacking in its theming either. The queue still looks great and the raptor animatronics are impressive, and with them being part of the queue you really get a chance to check them out and appreciate them. The first half of the ride in the paddock is really well landscaped and themed too.

If the yeti ever worked right, it might be a closer contest, but as it is . . . VC all day.

Because someone mentioned the queue-I am a total ride coward and will not be riding this. Is this like Forbidden Journey where it's totally worth going through the line and then telling a Team Member before you board that you don't want to ride?

I wouldn't really say either is a must do. The raptor animatronics at VC do look really cool, but not sure worth taking the queue time to see. Other than that it is mostly little easter eggs like books by Ian Malcolm and Alan Grant in the supplies, Mr. DNA in videos playing in the queue. And the final queue room has a large screen setting up the ride story with Claire and Owen.
Expedition Everest is kind of interesting as the queue essentially wraps through different rooms of a yeti museum and expedition supply rooms, with some landscaped areas between that look nice. It makes for a nice queue to walk through but again not sure if it's worth the time for just it either.
