Hi all!
I am a scaredy-cat when it comes to roller coasters! For those who have been on everest how man drops are there and how big are the drops?

Thanks!

In my opinion, there aren't any real "drops" -- meaning the kind that make your stomach flip. The entire ride is fairly smooth and the backwards part is the most intense. However, if you do not ride coasters at all (not BTM, SM, etc.) you might not like EE because it is a real coaster.

There was a special on the travel channel about EE. There is a 80 foot drop, something like Splash Mountain.

You can view the entire ride at this website: www.bigfloridacountry.com/everest.htm. It's tough to tell what is happening when you are in the mountain since it is dark, but you can get a general idea of what is going on. Also check out the website www.bartlett-sloan.net/tv/agenda to see the tv schedule for the program about the building of the ride. Both are real interesting and will hopefully give you a better idea of what the ride is like.

Really? I thought that EE would be much bigger and scarier than Splash. I know DS will love splash, but was nervous about EE. If it's really no worse than Splash, i think I'll try to get him on it! Thanks for the info!

The drop is on a banked curve and it doesn't make my stomach jump at all. I love EE and plan on riding it a few times each time I am there. It is one of the only rides I still use both my own and my DH's FP on. Since we have Seasonal Passes I normally only go on a ride once per visit but RnR and EE are 2 that I will ride every chance I get. It is a very smooth coaster and has a few different feelings along the way. The view as you climb to the top and can see the catlse, the ball, and the water tower is amazing. You can see the drop before you get in line if you look off to the side. It is a roller coaster but I have been with others that don't care for coasters who love this one.

I REALLY want to ride EE but I may be a chicken about it. I love the circular feel of BTMR and SM is ok for me. I have done ToT but not RnR. I have done SpLM but am not crazy about the drop. What do you think? I'll probably go on it but I'll be nervous in line.

The drop on EE was not nearly as intense as the drop on Splash Mountain, in my opinion. The drop on EE was over before I even realized that I was on the 80 ft drop that I had been nervous about. I thought the backwards part was more intense than the drop.

I'd say there's one big drop, but it's not that big. This coaster is a lot of fun, but not scary IMO.

I got sick on Space Mountain. Will I get sick on EE? I am a roller coaster wimp and can get motion sickness. I also refuse to go on Splash because of the drop. What do y'all think?

thanks for all the great input and websites... I appreciate it! Ya'll are great.
I can do Space Mountain and Aerosmith's coaster but not splash mountain or TOT but from all of your input I think I might can handle EE. Hopefully!!

Thanks again

Are you going backwards for the drop or the front?

I remember going on SM and I was in the last seat. I was so sick when I got off - also the only thing I had in my empty stomach was a soda, which probably didn't help. Later I was told that the last seat is the fastes. My DH doesn't believe me. I told him I would never ride in the back again, and I haven't. LOL

You're going forwards for the big outside drop, but the backwards in the dark part sure feels like it's a fairly big drop (at least it did to me.) Middle is probably your best bet. On EE if you are in the very front or the very back that at some point in the ride you're going to be in front and in other parts you'll be in back.

I though it was a smooth ride, DW though it to be intence.
