Ok, the top part of the main page has the May 2015 date---but everything else on the schedule still has 2014 information.
It even still has the "register" button linking to 2014 "sold out" info.

Races that are later in the year (Tinker Bell, Disneyland 1/2 2015,Wine and Dine 2015, and Avengers 2015) have 2015 dates/info on all their pages--plus instead of a "register" button linking to old info, it has a link to sign up for notifications (or in the case of Tink, link to the correct, but "sold out" registration pages)

So why are the later races being properly updated, but not Expedition Everest? Is it just because its a smaller event so they don't feel the need to put as much effort? Or...do you think it's all a rouse and they are going to make a surprise announcement soon? :scratchin
Maybe EEC 2015 will not happen, but will be replaced by a different May 2015 event? The dates of Star Wars weekends for 2015 haven't been announced yet. Could be an awesome opportunity for a joint-weekend event.

Even if it's not Star Wars, do you think *something* is up with the fact that EEC 2015's pages are so out of date? Something big or different will be announced before registration?
Registration is only a little over 2 weeks away, do they normally do a pre-registration for the DVC/annual pass holders for this race?

I thought I was reading more into that page than neccessary! I don't think that they mistakenly left out that registration information. The suspense is killing me!

Another thing I was thinking, was maybe it will still be Expedition Everest Challenge--but a bigger one! Like instead of a 5k, it would be a 10k or 10 miler (to make up for our loss of Tower of Terror.)

I'm itching to get the pricing! We normally take our trips 11-12 months apart so that I have plenty of time to save, but not this time! We went in October for my birthday and now DD9 wants to do the EEC making it a mere 6 months in between trips:worried:. I already have our room booked (AKV) and our airfare TO Florida has been purchased, but the vacation account is running on fumes and I still have to purchase return airfare and the race entries. I have been doing surveys and donating plasma to earn the vacation money and I've been keeping up so far. Once the race entries and return airfare are purchased, then I will have to start saving for our food budget, which is the most variable.

Hurry up, RunDisney!!:hourglass

There may have been less certainty with the race around construction in AK to delay updating EEC in the system with other 2015 races, and they're just not pushing anything through until they update pricing as registration opens in next couple weeks. With so little time between now and registration, and the possibility of construction interfering with 2016, i wouldn't expect any big announcements or changes about the event.

Hoping this isn't canceled & that rD is just late to update the page. I had a ticket to Orlando I had to change & I already updated it to travel there that weekend!

When I was at the expo I talked to someone at the run Disney booth. I specifically asked about expedition Everest and they said its 100% on. I mentioned the website and he said that they were having it this year.

Good to know!

Rundisney just tweeted that passholder early registration for Everest is December 2nd.

The website says this will (officially) be the last EEC. Wonder if it'll sell out more quickly.

That makes me so sad. I wanted to do the full 5K as a family when my DD is old enough to participate in 2017. :sad1:

While none of us really know, it's possible that another race will show up come 2017 that your family can do. Nothing was slotted in for 2016 on the runDisney events calendar but they could still do something with a different theme or, if there's a conflict with construction or the like, they could anticipate replacing it in 2017 with a new theme to tie into the opening of Avatarland. Time will tell.

I'd love to do this race. I like the medal, but it's DD's prom weekend. She is a senior. I even have an AP that is burning a hole in my pocket to use for early race registration.
