Expedia $85 p/Night POR

DW and I have reservation 12/12/ - 12/16 at POR at AAA rate of $118 p/night w/taxes ($475 total). Yesterday while surfing around I found $98.28 p/night with taxes ($393 total) on Expedia. They called it the Winter Dream Package but did not include passes.

Anyone else run accross this? It has me thinking about changing but I don't like Expedia's payment or cancellation policy.

I have looked at several November dates on Expedia, and I get this rate initially, but then passes are added on the next page. The passes cannot be removed. You may have found some dates where the system is glitched for some reason...or maybe they have dropped passes for all days. Anyone know?

Hi: Just went on expedia, and I am having trouble trying to figure out how to bring up just walt disney world resort hotels for prices.

Don't know for sure but I think you can book that rate without the passes as long as it is for 8 nights or more. If it is 7 nights or less, the passes seem to get added on at the very end of the process of booking it.

Hi Deb,

After you do your initial Hotel Search, on the left there is a place where you can type in "name containes"...type in Disney.

When you are doing your search you can put Walt Disney World in as your seach location. You search by attraction.

What are the catch's for the expedia rates. I found the Pop Century for 55 bucks!!! I did want the AKL or WL, but you really can't beat $55. Do I have to get passes with my reservation? I plan on going Jan. 10 - Jan. 20, 2004. I would like just to make the room reservation. Thanks

As far as I know, when you select that rate, they add the tickets on the next page. It is the same rate you will get if you call WDW direct and book it.

Sorry, I just read my post and it did sound confusing.

I check out expedia also. When you select the room you want to go with and continue on, it automatically adds Ultimate Park Hoppers as part of the Winter Dream Maker package. You can not remove these. So, for the total package, it is the same if you call Disney and book the PACKAGE. I dont' believe there is a $55 rate for room only, even if you are going through expedia. You can actually select the room and go to the next screen and see if it will. You won't be obligated to buy at that point.
