I know ticket prices usually go up in price. Historically when is this? And do Annual Pass prices go up at the same time?

As far as I know, they always go up during the first week of August. I believe that this includes annual passes, but don't quote me on that.

It is usually in August and because of that, I have already purchased mine for our upcoming trip in October. These days, any money saved is a good thing!

Yes, Disney increases the price of its annual passes at the same time as park ticket price increases.

Although price increases have happened in August lately one never really knows when Disney will increase them again. In other words there is no trend per se.

The AP price does go up along with the other types of ticket media when a price increase occurs.

Thanks Everyone! Now I just need to figure out if I should scrimp and save for it and get it prior to August or just wait until December....

This is America Todd, pay now, figure out how to pay later. Right up there with baseball and apple pie.

I'm debating the same thing with myself. And it comes down to opportunity cost too - how much might they go up, versus tying up that money now, versus later?

I'm also trying to decide whether to go for a 10 day no-expiration since we'll probably only be there for 3 park days in December (maybe even 2 if we do MVMCP). It's twice as much for us to do that, but then maybe I wont' have to buy tickets for our next trip at all.

Decisions, decisions....

I am debating the same thing. We have 1 day left on our non-expiring park hoppers. We might be able to get away with just 1 day trip if we do MVMCP and Universal.

Should I buy them ahead of time from Unidercover Toursist like a normally do and save $35 per ticket? Should I just wait and see if I need the ticket while I am there and just buy it from Disney?

See Todd you are not the only one struggling with these decisions.

I recently ordered a 10-day non-expiring park hopper and an 8-day expiring park hopper from Undercover Tourist. Although it's a lot of money to spend now, even more money would be spent later if I waited until after the price increase to buy the tickets.

I have the same conundrum! I need to buy tickets for my September trip but if I am going in June it means buying 3 weeks worth of tickets, it makes it favourable to buy an annual pass (especially with DVC discount!) Do I buy now, or wait till we confirm June?!?

If you buy early, don't lose them!

I bought mine for my December 2008 trip from Undercover Tourist the day before the price increase last summer.

Kept the tickets in a very safe place.

Two nights before the trip, I am packing. I have the tickets. And then, I have only one ticket! I had lost one ticket while packing!!! I searched for an hour, didn't leave the room. The ticket has to be some place! I can't find it anywhere. I am panicing big time!

Finally I find where it had slide under a rug. Whew!

You're not alone Todd. Like most here, Deb and I have to budget for our trips so finding value where we can is important. Last year we bought AP's on December 1st with our DVC discount. These covered our short December 08 trip, PCC 1.0 in May, and we'll use them for the last time on our five day trip to Food & Wine in October. We'll end up getting 12-13 park days out of them.

Unfortunately they expire before DAP so we are stuck deciding what we'll do. After DAP, our next trip together will not be until PCC 2.0, and Deb has a girls only trip planned in April to THV's.

Right now I may get us 4 day park hoppers for DAP (before the price increase)and then get 10 day non expiring hoppers for Deb in April, and myself in December. For the small price difference, we will definately get the water park add-on.

One thing I learned was to take a digital photo of the BACK of your ticket. If it ever gets lost, simply go to any Guest Relations window, show them that number and they will replace your ticket. Very easy.

Good idea, Mike. I wasn't quite as high-tech, but I scanned & copied the back sides of the tickets I bought for my husband and kids. I have an annual pass, so I can lose it and get it replaced without a problem at WDW. However, I need to copy the backs of the new tickets I just ordered.

Ok, so fro free dining we had a one day base ticket on our package. Will the ticket price go up on the package? Or will my upgrade now be subject to the price increase when we go?

Thanks!
