Yes, the St Ives apricot is way too sharp & cutting. They don't
t grind the pits down enough or uniformly to be used on the face.

As for how many times to use an exfoliant, it depends on your skin. On really oily skin, you might use one every day or every other day. But, it has to be meant for oily/acne skin.
Dry skin, maybe a couple times a week to sluff off the dead skin cells. I prefer a microderm abrasion scrub for this. The particles are really fine, like sugar (but without attracting ants.
) But, I don't see a lot of microderm abrasion products out anymore without using a dedicated brush.
