I didn't see a thread started so I thought, yeah, I can start this one.

I went to Curves for the first time this morning and can feel that I have worked already. This is a great accomplishment for me seeing that usually I would just now be thinking about getting up out of bed. I am going back tom. & Friday to get my 3x's in for the week.

Have a wonderful day and let us know who is moving today.

Did a 30 minute walk/jog/hike this morning, and took the steep route! Slightly overcast, cool enough to keep cool, but warm enough to wear shorts and a tee shirt.

I've finally figured out that working out first thing in the morning really does help jump start my day!

took my 1/2hr walk this morn
now im washing my bathroom, kitchen and front hall floors
hoping to get back out for 30-60mins before i head to work

I did the FIRM Cardio Sculpt this morning and hopefully will get to do the TM this evening.

Happy Hump day everyone!

I went to the Y and did 2 weight circuits and 2 miles on the treadmill.

Who's next?

FIRM cardio sculpt blaster - my favorite work out for me this morning! Woohoo!!!

Who's next?

I am curious to know about Curves as I will be moving back to the US in July and have thought about checking them out. How long of a workout do you get and I know it is a circuit type deal, but would love to know exactly what it is. Thanks.

 I made it to the gym today and I did a half hour on the elliptical and I rode a little over 5 miles on the Life Cycle. I am also claiming a new exercise clippie! 10 months!!! I never though I would accomplish that!

Y this morning - only one circuit today - It's my first time back at the Y since Friday. It sure felt good.

Me! Me! Me!

My second day doing yoga/pilates DVD.
I stepped it up to 40 minutes. Feel great!

I didn't even mind sweating, I usually hate that.
My DH asked "How can you be sweating doing that? You're just stretching."

I told him HE needs to do it! We'll see!

OH MY ACHING LEGS!! :earseek:

I did a Leslie Sansone NON-WATP video today called, "Firm Up Fast". There was nothing FAST about me after doing it! My legs felt like noodles and, collapsible at any moment, even now! Stairs are really tricky and, I thought I'd have to go down them on my behind. Oh Boy, WHAT a workout! :faint:

I think I'll wait a couple/few days before doing THAT again. Back to WATP tapes for me tomorrow! ::yes::

:sunny:

I did day 2 of the Slim in 6 program, plus putting together my new treadmill. Total of 12085 steps!!

Next?

I walked outside in the evening for 45 minutes, kept up a nice brisk pace walking through the neighborhood. We have a couple of small hills so it was a good work out.

Two workouts for me, jogging in the morning (3.6 miles in 38 minutes) and Curves after work.

Tiggerlover, here's a quick description of Curves: the workout is a circuit made up of 8-13 hydraulic resistance machines (depending on the franchise), each working a different set of muscles (ab/back, squat, glutes, etc.). There are no weights to adjust on the machines - the harder/faster you push on the machines, the more resistance you get. In between each resistance machine is a "recovery pad", where you do whatever it takes to keep your heart rate at 70% - walking in place, jogging, swaying. You spend 30 seconds at each station, and a recorded voice tells you when to move to the next station, and when to take your heart rate (every 8 minutes).

You go around the curcuit enough times to make up about 25 minutes of exercise (at my Curves, we have 13 machines, 2x around = 26 minutes). Then you stretch (set of 12 stretches) afterwards, and you're in and out in 30 minutes. They also will weigh and measure you once a month to track your progress, but I believe these measurements are optional.

I've been going for 9 months, and I think the workout has helped me keep (and build) muscle while losing fat. I enjoy the workout - I don't have to think too hard while I'm there, which is nice. :p Also, I find the machines are still giving me a good workout - I just work them harder now.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
