i can't afford to go to the gym or buy special exercise equipment, so i've been walking alot and running up and down the stairs (i know, i know, positivley medieval  ). but what can i do do get rid of my upper arm jigglies?

Push ups!

If you can't do them from the floor, try doing them against a wall and then build up to doing them from the floor.

i can't believe i never though of push-ups! thanks!!!

If you can afford $10, you can pick up 2 mini dumbell free weights at Wal-Mart. I think the 3 pounders are $3, the 5 pounders are $5, and the 25 pounders are $8. I stole mine from my brother, so I could be off in the costs. I use the weights, and I'm working on doing push ups to also help my arms. Good luck.

Use either water bottles (filled) or the largest cans of food you can hold in one hand. Sit straight up in a chair, one arm extended over head with your palm and elbow facing forward. Lower your palm toward your shoulder, keeping your arm straight and aligned.

I agree, invest in some dumbells, especially the adjustable kind! Push ups are great as well! :) Here are some links to how to work your biceps, triceps and shoulders.

Also, read this to learn more about how often to train your muscles. You need to give your body time to rest between sessions, so don't work the same muscles every day.

Stick with it! It takes time, but in three months you will have completely new looking arms!!! It works, and not only will your arms be less jiggly, but you will be burning more calories than ever before (takes more calories to keep the muscle fit and trim than it takes to support a fat cell!) :) Your arms might be sore after you work them the first time, but they will get used to it quickly! :)

I think I started lifting weights again (dumbells) about two months ago. When I started, I had a TON of fat under my triceps. It was so discouraging, I felt like crying every time I saw it!!! Today I am happy to report that the fat deposit is nearly history! My arms are looking really buff, slim, defined, healthy, etc. I know in another month they will look even better. I love quick results, so it was hard to stick with it, but I knew if I did I would really be happy in the long run. So give it a shot and keep at it!!!! :)

Don't ask me why I opened this thread! ;)

No suggestions to offer but I just wanted to say Good Luck! :)

thanks everyone!! I think i'll start with push-ups and cans and then invest in dumbells.

I am absolutely a failure at push ups, I have never been able to do even one on the floor.

I suppose I need to go back to doing pushups against the wall and work my way "down" to the floor.

Good luck, Wagamama. You are truly determined and motivated, that is so great!
