I'm looking for a new exercise dvd b/c I'm getting bored with the ones I have. I've been doing WATP and I have the FIRM set which I don't do as often. I'm looking for "upbeat" types of exercises to hopefully make exercising go by a little quicker!

Thanks!

Taebo is fun, it is a bit hard but once you get the hang of it it can be very enjoyable. I also just got The Biggest Loser DVD, which works your butt off. But I mean you do get to look at Bob so i mean that very well makes up for it.

I just did a Gilad (I know he's weird, and their bodies are about perfect, but I get great results) step aerobic cd. AND I just finished doing a Denise Austin (yes another annoying one) kickboxing dvd. Gilad is 1hr and the D.A. was 25min. If you intensify the steps you can really get a sweat going.

P.S. I don't like using stretch bands or hand weights, or any other extra exercising accessories. I have a hard enough time keeping up w/ the movement-lol :rotfl:

I have several different workout dvd's, from the firm to taebo and I really like thought nothing would beat taebo until I ordered turbo jam, these dvd's rock! I am really hooked on these workouts, They are fun, the time just flies by and they really seem to target the abs! My abs are actually starting to firm up some, and the best part of the workout is that it is so dang much fun and the music is so upbeat that I actually look forward to working out!

I'll have to check out turbo jam, thanks!

Cathe is excellent. I went from Taebo and the firm to her and she meets all of my exercise needs!

Not a DVD, but I have a playstation II and they have a "game" called Kinetic that is exercise geared and lots of fun! :)

Sounds interesting. I've also seen people mention Dance Dance Revolution as a form of exercising.

I haven't seen Turbo Jam anywhere, not even amazon. Where have you seen this dvd?

I love my Power 90 DVD and Slim in 6 by Beachbody.com

I hate annoying women doing energetic bubbly aerobics. A guy leads Power 90 and a woman leads Slim in 6. There is a running timer down the side of the screen so you can see where you are in the workout and segment. They area combination of aerobics, plyometrics, yoga, boxing..there's all kinds of moves. You can see them at all times too. I can never keep up in segments of some of my Firm DVD's because they have a tight shot of the woman while she's talking and I can't see what she's doing :confused3 so I just stop and get frustrated.

I would LOVE to try Yoga Booty Ballet...that sounds like fun. I heard they have moves like Stir the Pot and Bad Kitty... :cat:

Turbo Jam is from off the beach bodies web site if you are interested or like I did I ordered mine off the infomercial. I really enjoy the whole series of workouts and like someone mentioned there is this timer that lets you know how long you have to go before the end of the workout.

I like anything in the Gaiam line. They're all pretty good, but I prefer the Pilates dvds. I prefer Pilates anyway. You get to do most of it laying on the floor, which takes away most of the chances that I'll hurt myself. If I'm already on the floor, I can't fall down!

Another thumbs up :thumbsup2 for TaeBo. I love the Get Ripped series. I don't like traditional exercises - like jumping jacks, sit-ups etc... I love being able to punch and kick, my kids love doing it too and it sure is a great work out and stress reliever.

I bought 2 belly dance excercise DVD's just for a change and been having fun with them. One is by Neena and Veena, and the other is Kathy Smith.

I really like all of the Crunch DVDs I have. I have Boot Camp, Dance Party, Tone & Sculpt, and a yoga one that has 2 workouts - use to be 2 seperate DVDs.

I just bought Jillian Michael's (from Biggest loser called Biggest Winner) 5 DVD set this weekend. Can't wait to get it.

So this would be good for a TaeBo beginner? I tried Bill Banks and I fell behind really quickly!

Um, probably not. But I think they do have a Get Ripped Basic or Beginner. I do the Advanced and it is hard and very fast moving - also is 60 minutes. I bought mine on Ebay for like $5. The TaeBo Basic is a very good beginner one. I did that one for a couple of years before I moved on. It teaches you a lot of the basic moves and is only 30 minutes long, but still a great workout. I'd check Ebay, they have a ton of videos at great prices.
