Exercise clippie rules question

Gonna put this one to y'all to help decide.

What do you do with your exercise clippie if illness (not just being too tired or lazy, but actually being sick) prevents you from exercising at least 3 times during the week? Do you just not count that week, or do you drop back to week 1 and start over?

This is only for if illness (or surgery or similar) prevents you from being *able* to exercise physically.

What do y'all think?

I think that week shouldn't count... :) If you're ill, it's not that you didn't want to exercise, you weren't able to. Of course, if you're just feeling lazy, then that's a little different ;)

Hi, can someone let me know how to get an exercise clippie. I have just started doing aerobics again after a looooong time. So having the exercise clippie would really be a source of inspiration.

TIA,
Catherine

Hi Rajah!
I don't have an exercise clippie, but I shall offer my opinion anyway. ;) Just like the pounds clippies, I think you should keep the weeks you have earned, and only add when you have done a consistent week.

Now, to counter myself, if this clippie is supposed to be more like the Cheat Star clippie, skip a week and buh-bye Minnie. You have to start over.

How's that for a straight answer? ;) Is the exercise clippie like the WISH pounds clippie or the Cheat Star clippie?

WOHOO I guess since I know I have excercised more than 3 days last week I could have a clippie!!!! Guess I have to check out all my sizes huh!!

Sorry, I just realised that I got carried away asking about the exercise clippie on my previous post and I forgot to answer the question!!

IMHO if you are too ill to exercise at least 3 times in one week, then that week should not be counted.

I'm sure you don't count it, the question is if you're sick and don't exercise for a week do you just hold where you were before you got sick, or do you start over at week 1. I think if you miss a week from being lazy, you start over. But if you're sick, it's not your fault that you missed.

Man I posted twice already and still didn't answer the question completely (my brain sense must be going along with the weight)

Lets try this again! Third times a charm! I think that if you miss a week because you're sick that you just carry on from where you left off before you were sick e.g. if you have 3 weeks on the clippie when you become sick you just miss that week off and then when you're well enough to resume exercising then that would be the 4th week (does that make sense!! :D )

Hopefully I have answered the question this time!! :D

lol! That's what I thought you were saying, but I wanted to be certain. I was thinking the same thing but wanted others input as well. Thanks Catherine!!

Tammi, I think that you have it just right.

Exercise 3X per week get/keep your clippie.

If sick, ignore that week, but don't add a week, just continue when you are better. If time constraints or laziness prevent the exercise, lose and begin back at 1, like the Cheat Free Stars.

And if I don't walk or do the WATP today, I'm gonna lose her! Let's see if I'm motivated!

I did it! WATP 4 miles! I get to keep Minnie! Yeah me!

I absolutely agree with you, Tammi. I also think that circumstances beyond our control (i.e. death in family) would fall into the category of sick or operation. I also think you can include any exercise as long as it is a form of exercise. For example, this week I was on vacation and although I didn't get to the gym on one of my regular gym days I went paddle boating for an hour and we did some hiking, plus we went to a theme park, so I included those as my exercise as opposed to my regular gym time. As long as you are active above your norm at least 3x a week I think it should count.

I agree to both of your additions: extenuating circumstances like a death in the family also don't count against you, and doing anything above your daily norm counts as well.
