Hi all

Just wondered if anyone has used Executive Parking at Gatwick recently? We used them 2 years ago and they were fine but when I filled out the online booking form last Sunday I expected to get confirmation within 24 hours as that's what the website stated. However, Monday I still hadn't heard anything so sent them an email.

I realised yesterday that I still hadn't heard so dialled the number which rang ok but I hung up after a couple of rings. Straight after the chap phoned me back and said that as he wasn't in the office could I phone him back.
I thought nothing of this until my DH said it sounded a bit iffy them not using the website anymore so now I don't know whether to book them or not!

If anyone can reassure me that they are still ok to use I would be grateful.

Cant reassure you I am afraid.

Have used them many times and used to rave about them, but their service deteriorated i.e kept waiting 25 mins when we got back for the car on 2 separate occasions. Car also came back covered in mud.

Their website has always been weird.

I booked on there the last time only for them to ask me for payment when we arrived to drop the car off. To be fair he did say he would check whilst we were in Orlando - and we werent charged again when we got back.

I have now given up on valet parking and use the onsite Park & Fly business car parks - 5 min bus ride to the terminal and we have never been kept waiting. Quicker than off site or "holiday special" but obviously a bit more expensive.
 
Thanks for the reply Redsnapper - I think after reading about your experiences I'll give them a miss and save myself at least £20 by using one of the off site car parks. We used APH the time before and they were fine - I just liked the idea of getting the car brought back to us rather than hopping on the shuttle!

Denise, we used Executive in the past a couple of times but were let down by them last year: they tried to charge us twice, and whilst we got the money back in the end it was quite difficult.

This year we used a firm called Maple Manor who also do an airport meet and greet service and were much more impressed. Their charges are about the same or less than the likes of APH and BCP, plus you don't have the hassle of the coach when you get back. We'll definitely use them again next year.

Thanks for the link. I think Executive is definately a no no now. Thinking back, the last time we did use them it was my Dads car and he swore blind there was about 100 miles more on it but I thought it was just him being his usual Victor Meldrew self!!

Perhaps they got too many bookings and can't keep up the service they once provided?
