Excuse me, you'll need to see security. What has Mickeystoontown done? Update 3/25x2

Oh.....my....goodness Lisa! Really....a SNAKE!?!! My biggest fear is snakes followed closely behind by birds. ;)

I would have been OUT of that store so fast! I'm glad you had Hunter to document the event for you. Where were you during all the snake shenanigans?

And...that snake is HUGE!! GOOD GRIEF!!! :scared1:  :scared1:

For part of the snake shenanigans, I was in line. For the others, I was standing in the circle of guests but far enough away that I could make a run for it if the snake came my way. I'd have been climbing some racks if I had to.

I was thinking the same thing...I am not above climbing a rack or a display! LOL!

Ewww  I don't like snakes either and I surly wouldn't be sticking around taking pictures. Good thing for Hunter.

I bet we wouldn't have been the only ones either!

I stood around and watched while the Animal Control lady came but I sure kept my distance.

OK I should have known not to read the update, but I did and scared my kids have to death with my squealing. I even had one come in from outside to check on me. (Our bedroom windows open to the backyard so I wasn't squealing THAT loudly, but still.) So I shall repeat eeewwwww!:scared:

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I would have been FREAKING out if I was in MouseGears then!!!! :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1: Good for you for braving it out to take pictures!!

Oh. My. Lanta. I can not believe that snake got in that store as many people are always heading in and out of those doors. Can you imagine standing there and that thing crawling across your foot!?

I'm sure i had something very clever to say about ur snake encounter ,and I knew exactly just what to type until I saw the part where you wrote "tell that to my heart" Then whatever I was gonna say completely slipped my mind because you put into 80's mode......."tell it to my heart ,tell me I'm the only one,is this really love or just a game, tell it to my heart,I can feel my body rock everytime you call my name" And just so you get the full effect......I'm in my cupcake jammies belting it out into the remote control without any reaction from the fam because they're quite used to my random singing episodes.

Okay… SNAKES?!?!?! I would have hightailed it OUTTA THERE!!!! I do NOT like snakes!!! AT ALL!!!!!!!!

I think I forgot everything else I wanted to say… but I am caught up now….

Hey, Are you going to go again? Awesome

We are! It's not public knowledge... or at least family knowledge. :lmao: I don't want to hear the arguments from family until it is much closer to time. We are at Pop from Dec 1-9! I don't mention it on Facebook either since my family would see it! :rotfl:

Awww, Hunter is a handsome woman!:rotfl: Jesse looked like he was having way too much fun!

I take bad firework pictures. My fancy camera doesn't do for me either! You got some good shots!

There's a Snake in my Boot!:lmao: I'm ok around snakes, as long as it's not coming after me. I've even pet one on purpose!

I like that one picture that has a lady carrrying a bag that says keep calm. Kind of perfect for the situation

I LOL"d when I noticed that! It was perfect!

YAY!! and I will just miss you by about 2 weeks. Your secret is safe with me!
Tammy, you should check out Jen and my TR's! We met in Nov, and had great trips! I bet the kiddos would like seeing all the pictures!

I'm so happy for you!!!!!! I'll keep it quiet. I was just informed the other night by my DH that his friends watch my page to see when I am going to announce my next trip ...not because they are excited, so the can ridicule me. It's so dumb.

OK #1 If I was in there I wouldn't be able to take pictures due to the loss of all control of my bladder & bowels

#2 if you see a crazy woman walking very carefully and slowly through Mousegears in May don't worry its just me trying not to think about Mickeystoontowns pet snake jumping up and eating me

I don't particularly like snake, but I'm not afraid of them either. I'd love to see one in Disney though. That, or an alligator (from far, of course). I just like the thought of seeing something unusual.

Animal Control! Animal Control! We need Animal Control!

After Hunter and Jesse put all of the various women’s accessories back in their correct place, we wandering up towards the front of the park because we wanted to make one last stop in Mouse Gears. As you all know, the store is quite big so we split up with some of us going this way and some of us going that way and still others going yet another way. As I was standing in line to check-out, I heard a squeal and somebody say something rather loudly but I couldn’t tell what they said. No alarms sounded and no flashing lights so I figured it was just somebody playing around. :confused3

Next thing I know, Hunter’s tapping me on the shoulder and telling me that there was a snake in the store. Being the practical joker that he is, I thought that he was just kidding. Turns out, he wasn’t. :scared1: Now you know that I’m not going to let an opportunity like this to pass by so I handed over my camera and said “Take pictures for my trip report! And lots of them!”

When I got to the register, I asked the castmember if it were common for snakes to come into the large stores like that she gave me some Disney line of bull that had something to do with The Jungle Book and all sorts of animals hanging around. I looked at her and asked again “is that common?”. This time, she didn’t laugh it off and said “When it rains a lot like is has been lately, they do slip inside pretty often.” Not exactly the answer that I wanted to hear! I wanted to hear “Oh no honey, it’s the first time that it’s ever happened in the history of Walt Disney World!” :rolleyes1

My second biggest fear is snakes! The first is heights. I can only imagine what I’d do if I were standing on the edge of the Grand Canyon and a snake slithered along. Probably pass out and fall down the cliff!

Purchases made, I found my family standing nearby watching the castmembers keep a eye on the snake. One of the castmembers had a walkie talkie and was reminding whoever was on the other line that “We need Animal Control!”

Okay, so you want me to shut up and post pictures of the snake?

The snake was on the move and I was ready to snatch the walkie talkie outta the castmember’s hand and scream “ANIMAL CONTROL! ANIMAL CONTROL! WE NEED THE FREAKIN’ ANIMAL CONTROL! NOW PEOPLE!” :mic:

Suddenly, the sea of guests parted. I looked up and it was Moses! :littleangel: I mean, it was Animal Control! Animal Control to the rescue!

She got him!

The entire crowd of guests started clapping. When the castmember passed, I asked her what kind of snake it was and she said that it was a corn snake and wasn’t harmful. Yeah, tell that to my heart, it’s beating a mile a minute.

**Up next: I hurt my butt! You wanna kiss my butt?
:scared1:Oh My Gee! That is SO WRONG! There should be NO snakes at Disney!:( I hate snakes!!

I'm so not a girly girl and hate to wear dresses (thank goodness our church doesn't mind what you wear) but that dress is very comfortable. I bought it at Sam's Club and it was less than $20! Can you believe that? It has cute little cap sleeves but I was afraid it would get cool in the theater so I threw the little jacket over it.

I'm the same way, I'm so far from a girly girl myself, but since I've lost almost 80 lbs. and I'm starting to be cute again, ;) I find that I like to wear a dress every now and again. :goodvibes Especially to WDW, my dd13 and I will be having tea at the GF on Mothers day this next trip so I've been looking for a dress or two. Yours looks super comfy and cute to boot! I love finds like where you got your dress, those are the best kind of finds. :goodvibes

I may be doing it all wrong but as my kids were growing up, I reminded them often that they were spoiled because they had just about everything that they wanted and that there were many many others, kids and adults alike, that didn't even have food on their tables. Like I said, I may have gone about it the wrong way but it seems to have worked because they really are very appreciative.

I'm so right there with ya babe, as I say..."I know we've spoiled our kids, but we haven't spoiled them to the point of rotten." :) We tell them the same thing, we give y'all a lot but we also expect you to be just as generous of yourselves. Lisa, I think you have that in spades when it comes to your kiddos, I don't think you have a thing to worry about when it comes to doing it right or wrong. You did it right. :thumbsup2 ::yes::

I can't imagine being the first person to find that snake! :scared1: I would be freaking! But I guess maybe he was just trying to find a place to cool off! :lmao:

Anyway - that's something I hope I never see! :rotfl:

I don't know how I stumbled on to your TR but I have enjoyed reading it SO much! I love your writing style and your family just exudes happiness with each other!!

OMG about the snake . . . I can't even begin to tell you how freaked out I am about snakes. I have such a huge fear. My sister loves to tell the story of the time I jumped end-to-end over the full size seat of our van and her when she pointed out a snake in our garage. And my father always follows that story up with the time I ran from the back of our property and made it in to our house before he finished saying "oh, look, that's a big 'en" as he was lifting the snake out of our mulch pile. Yeah. I'm terrified.
