Excuse me, you'll need to see security. What has Mickeystoontown done? Update 3/25x2

My Singing in the Rain tour continues much to the dismay of others 'cause I can't carry a tune to save my life!

I continued my counter clockwise tour around the resort and had just left Martinique. Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light. Oops, sorry...not a shimmering light like The Eagles were singing but I did see a pool...the Barbados quiet pool:

Following the pathway, I took a right going into Barbados so that I could take more pictures of the beautiful landscaping and what a parking lot view looked like.

Here’s the pathway that I took:

and this is the view at the end:

Not too shabby if you ended up with a standard view of the parking lot. I walked to the building to my left to take a few doorway views.

And stood in front of this door:

Again, not bad for a standard view. There’s certainly enough foliage to keep you from looking straight at a parking lot. I walked to the end of the building which was to my left and continued my journey.

I stopped to take a picture of the Barbados laundry room:

Someone had asked about the stairs and I took pictures of the stairs in a nearby Aruba building because I couldn’t remember if I had taken them earlier in the trip. Looking at the first set of steps:

It was still drizzling rain when I got back to our room. We had time to freshen up before going back to the Magic Kingdom for our traditional Last Supper in the park.

**Up next: I have a ziplock bag and I WILL use it!

More CBR yay!!! I didn't even see the part of the resort when we were there. I kept saying we would exploring but never got to it, next time perhaps. Your pictures make me wish I was there now! Especially today it's all gray and raining here in NYC :crazy2:

Happy to hear the good news about John!:goodvibes Sorry about the worker's comp issue. I will never undestand why people are always out to pull a fast one on others. :confused3

CBR is so pretty! You are right that even a standard view ain't that bad, with all that foliage in between. :goodvibes

More great photos of CBR and my beloved Aruba. Makes me so nervous to be trying another new resort! Maddie won't budge from that royal room though, so POR it is.

Glad to hear that John is feeling better. Sorry that the insurance company is giving you fits. Not surprised, but sorry. ;)

Beautiful pictures Lisa! Realy makes me feel like I am there. I would be tempted to stay thre just from your pictures.

Glad John is doing well and I am sure you will work out the insurance snaffoo...after all you work for a lawyer and know how to talk the talk!!

Love the pictures! Looks much like it does today!!! Rainy....but clear skies are ahead! I feel as though I can get around like an old pro thanks to your PMs and TR!

Insurance stinks but hopefully it will get worked out and thankfully John is doing well!

Awesome to hear that John got a good report!

AHH...Spring.:cloud9: If only it would come to upstate NY! LOL! We have to wait until at least May! ;)

I'm happy that the neuro appt. went well. He doesn't have to go back for three whole months!

Yay for a good report from John's doctor, but boo to Workers Comp for trying to mess with you. I hope you can get that all sorted out soon.

I completely understand the allergies issues!! I have sinuses that hate me and whole I lice the warmer weather of spring that brings the pollen and other irritants that drive me crazy!!

Can't wait for the rest of your walk around CBR. Have I mentioned yet how much more excited it makes me to be there sometime soon?! (Nope, still no firm dates yet, but I'll get into that on my TR this afternoon). Then you will have a PTR soon :goodvibes

Worker's comp is not being very nice right now and I'm ready to throw the book at 'em if they keep messing with us. Thankfully, John's doctor knows how to deal with them.

I looked at your ticker and am excited to think that you may be at the CBR in just two weeks!

CBR is so pretty! You are right that even a standard view ain't that bad, with all that foliage in between. :goodvibes

In all honesty, we have never gotten a bad view at the CBR. The landscaping is so lush that the parking lots aren't that visible.

I can't say that I blame Maddie for choosing the princess rooms. From the pictures that I've seen they are really pretty.

Insurance companies are the pits!

I agree, I think there is enough greenery to cover the parking lot views

The parking lots views really aren't that bad!

Oh yeah, I know how to talk with those insurance adjusters. They are always trying to trip you up with their questions. I know how to talk their language. :rotfl:

I'm glad to hear that ya'll made it safe and sound. Hopefully, the skies start to clear up so you can get out and explore!

Goodness...you really did take a walk! Beautiful shots of the resort! :goodvibes

I sure did! I could have stayed on the promenade and been back at our room much quicker but I wanted to get some "info" shots for several of those on the CBR thread who were asking about stairs, pools, etc.

Hopefully, you'll get to explore more when you go back. There are so many differnet pathways to take.

I don't understand why insurance companies try to give people grief. Who knows why?:confused3

What a great tour of the resort! It is beautiful! We stayed there several times when the kids were younger, so we've got great memories of that place!

I hope you are all on your way to being well!

Love the pictures of CBR! Thanks for the tour. Yet I can't help wondering about how large the resort is. I'm thinking if you get put into the 'wrong' (make that 'far away') building you'll have a long walk to get to other places at CBR.

I see ya'll have a ticker that has dates very close to our's. Yay for going back!

Actually, the walk wouldn't have been that bad if I hadn't taken all of the various pathways into the various villages. If I had stuck with the main promenade, the entire walk would have been a little over a mile.

Showed Linda the shots of CBR, last couple of pages and she can't wait till June 8th. Grandson loved the pool shots. We are ready. You won't have much time between this TR and the one for May. Do you ever feel you never leave WDW?

We have decided to drive from Illinois as the plane cost is just to high. Have not driven since 1986. Two cars 8 people 3 days down and same back. We will take our time and stop to rest and sight see. Might even see my brother in Tampa or cousin in Daytona.

Thanks for the pictures Lisa. Hope your life gets back to normal or is this all normal for you?

I'm glad that the pictures are getting ya'll ready for your stay at the CBR! That's exactly why I took so many of my "information" pics.

I think that my brain whispers "drag this trip report out as long as you can" to me so that I do feel like I'm still at Disney. I am SO ready to go back!

Oh I love road trips! We haven't traveled with family to any far away destination since Lacey's wedding. I hope that you get to stop and see your brother or your cousin. That would make the trip extra special.

This actually IS pretty normal for us. If it's not one thing...it's another. Oh well, it is what it is and I can only laugh my way through it.:rotfl:

I seriously think I stayed in that room that you just photographed. :rotfl: Too funny. I remember I was in Barbados and we had a corner room on the first floor which walked right out to the parking lot. I loved it. The car was literally a couple feet away.

All those pictures of the scenery and the paths take me right back to that trip - and it was a good one. Lots of good memories - so thanks! :thumbsup2
