DD called me from school , they had recess outside today but it's very muddy, she fell in the mudd and called me to bring her dry clothes for one hour left of school, so I go to school with a pair of Capris and I see that she REALLY wiped out in the mudd. You know what she tells me?? Mom, I was going to wear these tomorrow!!! and then she gets mad. Well excuse me , you can go back home with the wet ones and wear these tomorrow!
How dare I not know what she's going to wear tomorrow?? These pre-teen hormones are driving me crazy, I'm tempted to lock her up in her room until she's 18, LOL.
I can only hope that my oxyclean works this time too!!

Honestly, how could you NOT know ;) :p Good Luck!! I remember being a pre-teen - teen. I don't know how my mom survived :D

I always have been perfect and never moody. However, no one is permitted to ask my parents or my sister about this :)

I am way past pre-teen, but as I said in another post....I get PMS, pre-MS, and post MS :)

My oldest DD is 11 and this sounds like something she would say to me! Now don't forget....when you say something to let them know about the attitude you're getting, you get response, with the eyes rolling, "Sar-ree!" I tell my daughter that she's not sorry yet, but if doesn't knock it off, she WILL be sorry!!:earseek:

It must be an age thing, DD is 10 going on 30 and knows everything.
The one thing I love is when I get the " you don't know what life is like in school " , no I don't, I was born this size you know?? I never went to school , never was a child....

Uhmmmmmmmmm- I hate to be the one to break the bad news.... but ......... you're probably gonna have to move that age up a few more years- to like 24- 25! Even if they're at college and away from home, you still get it, only it's with so much more authority. After all- they are College educated now! It probably won't be until they are completely and TOTALLY out on their own, making their own money, before they begin to realize what little poops they've been. Ahhhhhh- but alas! Based on this idea, I have only another 5 years left and then- I'm FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Curious though- Has anyone here BEGGED forgiveness of their Mothers because of their darling adolescent behaviors????

I beg your pardon??? I am perfect and always have been ;) LOL.

You mean this lasts until they are 25?? Can I please go to WDW and stay there until the year 2022?? that's when my youngest will be 25.

Oh please help me!!

My DDs are 4 and 17mo, and I think they are a handful now. Does it only get worse????

Please tell me it gets better eventually (before 25 preferably!). Otherwise, I anm going to WDW with Mskanga, but I'll stay until 2026!

Ya know..... when my kids were little - (I had 3 under 3!!! ) people use to say to me "Enjoy them while you can!" I can't tell you how sick I got of hearing that!!! Well, I hate to say they told me so.............. BUT............... they told me so!
Actually- to put EVERYTHING into perspective- I have had relatively good kids. No major problems- just typical kid stuff. I am very thankful that I have the kids I have- even though they can be little turds every once in awhile! I miss them tremendously when they're all at school or elsewhere. And I can honestly say that I am a proud mom of three young adults. You'll be able to say that as well- just keep loving them! NO MATTER WHAT!
