Excuse Me, Does this Milk Come with Refills? A Review w/pics! Updated 1900 PF 12/27

This was our Epcot day. We had another b-fast at Captain cook's. Not much to say about this.

On to lunch at Coral Reef.

The place was packed whrn we walked in. Anyone hoping to get a table without a reservation were out of luck. We had a 11:30am ressie. Got in after about a 15 - 20 minute wait. Not bad.

Here's what we had:

Bread

Dipping sauce for the bread

Grilled New York Strip - Husband would not finish this. He ate about a quarter of it. It could not have been grilled over an open flame. More like boiled. It was pretty bad considering the other strips we have had at WDW. Could have been much better.

Overall: Husband would say "bad". I would say not bad.

Just acouple of things:

If you want to sit beside the tank, be prepared to be mobbed by children and parents alike. While we didn't sit next to the tank, we still had a great view of the fish.

Also, we watched a Father take pictures of his kids at an empty table in front of the tank. He made the kids actually sit ON the table, with their feet in the empty chairs.

The kids had their little hands all over the clean plates. I'm a nurse and all I could think of were the germs that got left on the poor, unsuspecting peoples table. Oh well! Some people have little or no respect. Just my opinion.

Thank you SO much for the Boatwright's review! We are staying at the POFQ and have having our first dinner over there. I was hoping someone would post some pix! I am excited to go there, and you're pix helped!

And I won't order the milk! :rotfl:

Great updates. Glad you liked Yak n Yeti, we loved those green beans and pleased to see a review of Boatrights, you don't here much about it and we're thinking of trying it on our next trip.

You're welcome. We enjoyed the meal, but now are aware of the milk. So that will be a no no. The meal was good besides. Have yo tried the carriage ride? It was good to just relax.

Our next meal was at Le Cellier @ 5:35. We got there early so we had to wait awhile. The place was packed and they were turning away people at the podium.

Up Next: Kona Cafe Breakfast & Tony's Town Square lunch

Our next to last day in WDW brought us to Kona Cafe in our hotel. We had a 7:40am reservation and got right in.

This is a place we would eat again. The breakfast was good. The only thing to complain about was that the group behind us got their food first and they were seated after us.

Our bill for the 4 of us would have been $56.80. Gratuity was $8.21.

Here's the Kona Cafe water

wonderful pics and review but did i miss the part about the milk in the header? or maybe it's still to come.

Yup, you missed it. It's back in the review about Boatwright's dining hall. I'm not sure of what post # it is.

Great Pics, I have a question at Coral Reef did your husband sub out the broccolini with his steak?

Last year I had the steak and BF stole all of mine. This year we're going back and everyone who took a bite of my steak loved it. I'm hoping it's as good this year.

Thank you for your reviews, we're going in a few weeks and eating at a lot of the same places.

CharacterFan - The husband did not sub anything from his dinner. I asked him and he can't remember what it was, but he said it "wasn't bad". He likes brocoli, so he wouldn't sub it out. If we happen to remember, I'll let you know.

This had to be one of the best places we ate. I had no ressies for lunch or dinner this day. We were gonna wing it. But when it got closer to the time for lunch we changed our minds. First I called the dining reservation line. I asked if there were anything for lunch or dinner in Magic Kingdom or on the monorail. I was told no. So, okay, we're out of luck. When we walked into Magic Kingdom I told the husband I was gonna walk over to Tony's to see if they had anything at the podium. To my suprise, they were taking walk ins. So, the moral of the story here is, don't rely on the dining reservation line.

I can't remember what time we got there, but we got in quick.

We were led to a table on the "porch" or "veranda." Here's was our view/entertainment:

Chef's Signature Cheesecake - we can't quite remember what it was. We think it was a hazelnut one.

This lunch was awesome. We would go back for sure.

Our bill for the 4 of us, the parents were back at the Poly chillin', was: $76.79. Tip was additional.

Next up: Grand Floridian Cafe dinner

Beautiful view to have during lunch, and the food looked great too. :goodvibes

Our last dinner of our vacation was at the Grand Floridian Cafe. Again, I didn't have a reservation for here. But I did call and they had a 5:30pm available. So, I took it. We took the ferry boat over from the magic kingdom to the Grand Floridian. Let me tell you, it was a cold trip.

The parewnts stayed behind at the Polynesian and ate there. They were getting tired.

Here's what we had here:

Rolls - could have been softer. But not bad.

This meal was very good. It's one of the rest. we would do over. The kids meals were better than any I've seen yet. The kids were happy to get a dessert other than ice cream.

Waitress was very nice and talkative. By the way, we got right in for our 5:30 ressie, no waiting. I thought it was odd considering it was the day before Thanksgiving. But I'm not complaining.
