How far in advance should you book excursions?

Do you pay for them at the time of booking them?

What if you change your mind and want to cancel what is the policy on that?

Thanks!!

You can book them 90 days before your cruise, as long as you have paid in full.

You will not be charged for the excursion until your cruise - it came on our final bill.

And you have up until 48 hours before the cruise to cancel. After that you will be charged regardless.

Hope this helps.

So your cruise has to be completely paid for before you can book excursions?

Yes, that is right. You have to be paid in full.

I had booked all of my excursions on the 90 days because we chose to do the most popular ones - Dolphin Encounter and Parasailing at CC.

I just booked excursions and my trip isn't paid in full, I am a good month from my due date.

That's interesting - all of Disney's info states that you have to be paid in full before booking excursions. Maybe they have changed that.

What did you think of the Dolphin Encounter? What all do you get to do with the dolphins??

We really enjoyed the Dolphin Encounter. You do get to interact with the Dolphin quite a bit. There are 30 of you in a group and then they take you in groups of 10 into the water and you line up. The trainer is in the water too and he really adds to the experience (ours was so funny - made the dolphin spit water on the parents for not dancing enough) We got to pet the dolphin and feel in its mouth. We got to dance with him and then hug him and kiss him (YUCK - kids loved it!) We got to feed him too. Our youngest who was 6 got the biggest fish to feed! We were the first group and I did notice that the other groups did a few different things to keep it interesting.

Also, if you are going with more than 1 child (I have 4) they take you into the water first for a family photo with the dolphin kissing ONE of your family members. I thought we were going to have war when we picked 1 of the girls. I did not know at the time that we all eventually get to kiss the dolphin. It worked out but we had a few long faces until everyone got to be with the dolphin!
