excursion booking questions

Almost time to book my first excursion(we did CS for Atlantis last cruise). Do I have to pay at time of booking?? Can you use disney gift card to pay for them? Our local supermarket has them and you get discounts off your gas when you buy gift cards. Thanks.

You don't pay for shore excursions when you book them. They are charged you our onboard account. So you can pay for them any way you can pay your onboard account -- which includes gift cards.
