I have never been to Universal in the summer. I have only gone in November. DD's favorite ride is the large river-raft ride. I think it is called Popeye's Bilge something something lol.. ;) We can usually walk-on during November, or only have a 5 minue wait. What should I expect the last week of August? Since it is going to be hot, I am guessing the lines for the water rides are crazy long.. right?

Now for the planning part-DD really doesn't "do" the big, scary rides yet (6). My plan is to hit Jimmy Neutron First, then ET, MIB, and Jaws. Then head over to Dr. Suess area then hit the water rides. She doesn't care for the Shrek show. We generally do my above listed order, but that is in November. Should I be switching it up for the summer? Any suggestions are appreciated.

During the summer we usually hit IOA first then head over to the Studios, because it just seems like more people crowd into IOA the later in the day it gets.

I would bet that with HP being in IOA that the park itself will be generally more crowded this summer. You could hit the water rides first but then of course you'd be nice and wet when you head into the A/C. Yow!

Get there at rope drop! I think that rule will still be valuable. Move swiftly and get it done so you can relax when the big crowds get to the parks.

sounds logical. I am also staying at Nick hotel, so DD can get plenty wet there. No need to go on the Popeye ride over and over again. IOA first. Rope Drop-must do. Thanks.:thumbsup2

I would think that with WWOHP the opposite would be true when doing both parks in one day, as people start with the Hp area then make their way over to Universal Studios.
