I was just browsing today and found a Disney personal DVD player that plays 5 inch, 3&1\2 inch DVD's on a small 4 inch screen. It also plays CD's and MP3. It was on clearance for $68.00. I bought it and it is really nice, the sound and picture quality is much better than my more expensive model that we've had for a few years. If anyone is looking for one, this is wonderful!

I found some GREAT items at Target as well! I got tons of COOL upgrades for my Travel Binder, it is AWESOME!! A digital "tag maker" and tapes, all kinds of stuff!

Question about your DVD player, is it Princess or Mickey? Was it on clearance because of a flaw or open box/display or all on clearance.

May have to check it out, thanks!!

I think I bought the same one! Mine is Mickey and it was $64 and some change. It was not on clearance because it was opened. There were two other ones left. I guess they are coming out with a newer version.

The MM dvd player (portable) is on sale at all Targets it seems. I have been reading about it on my deal boards. I also have seen the MM tv and red MM dvd player on clearance this last week also. I also have read that some people have gotten the portable for $32!!! It's still $64 at my store though. The screen is very small.. is it hard to watch?

We haven't even opened it yet. We got it for DD so she could watch it on long plane rides. We go to CA frequently and will be going to HI in the spring - that's a long flight for a 3yo, even if we do break it up over two days with a night in San Fran. I liked it because you don't have to "open" it to see the screen. The screen is on the outside (if that makes sense), so DD can't play with it by opening and closing it (like you would a laptop computer).

It's much too small for us. DD would be okay with it because she is used to her Gameboy SP, but 3.5" is really small. Especially with the prices coming down on the bigger screens, I don't want the DVD player just for her but for the family.

it's on clearance, which explains the different pricing.

I have been looking at those, I hope they didn't go down today at my Target....at $32, I plan on buying each of my kids one (there were several of these in stock last week)

You guys who saw them should scan them...I saw two and one was marked 64 and one was marked 32...I took them to the price checker and they both were 32. I kick myself for not getting them that day, I went back the next day to buy them for my dd's and they were gone... :sad1:     :sad1:

ohhh I didn't see these at my Target today. There was so much clearance stuff today I couldn't believe my eyes. I might have to head back tomorrow and check them out.

I was truly amazed at the quality of it. The cover has black and white mickey's all over it. It has a little stand on the back and will sit like a tiny TV! It has a clear sound while sitting on the counter, but does not come with earphones. I took the package apart looking for them and they weren't there. princess:

You guys got a great deal. I bought the Princess one for my DD at Walmart in June and paid $125 for it. :earseek: It is great though and works great to keep her occupied in the car. The bag and accessories for them are supposed to be coming out this month.

I agree, on the bigger screens...I bought one on clearance with a 5 inch screen for the same money ($60). I know that there are ones with 7-inch screens around $100.

The electronics guy went to check out if he had a good stock of them, then got back on the phone & told me they were currently being pulled off the rack for salvage. I called a non local store by where DH works, and found that they were still 64. there. I don't think it is worth it at this price. For 32, I'd have gotten two for Xmas.

The Target closest to me had them on clearance for $68.49, supposedly originally $122. They had 8 left, all were white with black character sketches on them. The next closest Target didn't have any at all. For $32 I'd buy it, but $69+tax for a 3-1/2" screen just doesn't seem worth it - not even for my 8 yr. old DGD.

I just got back. Our Target had them for $64, so I didn't buy one. For $32 I would have got a couple for Christmas gifts. They had 4 of them, so maybe I will check in another week to see if they mark them down.

Thanks for the heads up!

I agree. I won't spend $64, but I found a local Target that had about 6 or 8 left.......I can hope they go to $32.......you never know!!!

Does anyone have the SKU # of the box so I can have them check at my local Target? I stopped in 1 store and didn't see anything. Are they in the electronics dept? All I could find were the larger TV and DVD p[layers (separare components) that were not on sale.

Thanks

I would love these for my boys!

Our Target had them at $64 last week. I have been watching them because they were just 30% off which made them like $85. I called DH and asked him if we should get one for DS. But then I told him the screen is tiny like the Game Boy screen and he said no way.

If I can snag one for $32 I'll do it, otherwise I won't. The other thing is the battery is rechargeable, not AA or AAA or whatever. In my experience those batteries will NOT hold a charge after awhile, which was another reason not to pay $64. It says the battery only lasts 2.5 hours - barely long enough for one DVD before you have to recharge.
