Excitement

I am so excited to be engaged with my fiancee' and planning on our wedding, and also of course planning our honeymoon to Disney!! What are some of the quieter romantic areas of Disney World, such as restaurants, or even just areas to sit down and see a beautiful view? Thanks a lot!

Congratulations on the engagement! I am newly engaged and super excited too!

My then-BF, now FI, and I took our first trip to WDW May 2011. Neither of us had ever been there so we were really excited to go and had an even better time than we expected!

As far as quiet romantic places, we really enjoyed dining at California Grill, Le Cellier, and Narcoossee's. We have a hard time picking our favorite! Some of the other stuff that sticks out was walking around HWS late at night & watching Fantasmic! and enjoying a snow cone overlooking the water in Epcot. I am sure whatever you end up doing will be wonderful!

the polynesian grounds are super quiet and serene. I actually happen to really like them. you do not have to be a guest at the resort to enjoy their grounds. There are beaches there with hammocks and beach chairs that are nice to sit in too. Watching wishes from there is also quite wonderful.

you might also like walks on the trails near the wilderness lodge and fort wilderness.

I ditto the beaches around the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian. Also, the Boardwalk and the areas around that are nice areas to sit and walk around. As far as restaurants, if you want great views of Magic Kingdom, check out California Grill and Narcoosees.
