I have decided that I'm going to join Weight Watchers online next week. I have to make sure its okay with dh but I really need and want to lose this weight. I did great last time I did WW. I really love the online plan since I can put in my food and programs do all the work. :)

I'm in the 290's and hate it. I was always over 200 since before high school but never over 250 until I got pregnant and just can't seem to lose the weight after dd was born. I do NOT want to get over 300. I promised myself I would not let it get to that.

I hope to lose 130 lbs but I know it will take some time. We are on track to get debt free in the next 6-12 months and I would love to have our 2nd child sometime after that but I really need to get to a healthy weight before that.

I've recently moved across country and hope to have my puter set up soon but until then I'd be using my dad's(we are staying with family until we find a place) and will try to keep up with things in here. Maybe I'll get my computer set up by a week from Friday. We gotta get or make a desk first and buy a router. This time I have to do it. I can't go on this way or I'll end up with diabetes or worse. I already have blood pressure problems since I developed pregnancy induced hypertension that has not gone away.

I have been in almost the same boat as you. I started out with having to lose 134 pounds and as of yesterday I'm down to 98 left to go. I've hit a hard point already, I know there are more hard points and I'll make it. I also need to get healthier - I have so much against me in family history and I just have never had the perserverance behind me. I do now.

PM when you get to a point that you need extra help. Also please join the journals if you can. Everyone there has been a HUGE help to me. I didn't get as high as you but I got higher than I ever imagined. This board and these people that I am happy to call my friends have been absolutely totally awesome for me.

The other piece that has helped me is I am writing everything down that I eat. I am keeping track of calories, fat grams, and carbs and I'm drinking as much water as I can a day. There are days that I eat too many fats or too many carbs and just do better the next day. The days that I eat too many calories I beat myself up but I go right back at it.

You CAN do this and WILL do this - just remember, it's for your health, it's for your daughter and future kids, and more importantly it's for YOU!

Keep on

(((MELISSA)) you are so WORTH IT! and you daughter want's her mother around for a very very long time!

kudos to you for making the decision to implement a healthier lifestyle. remember those baby steps add up to huge leaps in the overall --- take it day by day one step at a time. i know very soon you will start to feel more energetic, sleep better and learn to actually LIKE healthier foods!

prayers and PD to you at the start of a new journey!
