My wife and I finally decided where we would spend our 20th anniversary and decided on a fun filled kid less Disney trip. We have been to Disney with our children twice in the past and each time we spent the week at CBR (The kids loved the pool and we loved the music/theme of the resort). When booking for this trip for May 2018 we decided to go back for a third time and then I got second thoughts(after I booked). First I am a research kind of guy and between renovation horror stories and polls that POR was,in most polls the best or most chosen of the Moderate Resorts decided to plead my case to my wife of why we needed to change it up. I told her
1) Renovations are going on
2) We have nothing to compare it to seeing CBR has been our choice each time we went to Disney
3) It is our anniversary and I want what we share together to be new and separate from our past trips
SHE AGREED!
So I called my travel agent and she made the changes and am happy to announce we are staying at POR Riverside ( my wife is creeped out by the French Quarters décor LOL) YAY!
Now I would like to here some comments/opinions/suggestions/etc... on my choice and decision
Thank You

Freaks me out too! I've not stayed at Port Orleans but have friends who've stayed in both Riverside and French Quarter and they were very pleased with both resorts. My nephew married at DW on New Year's Eve a few years ago and the entire wedding party was at French Quarter. They loved the location. It's on my "bucket list" and I really like that you can boat to Disney Springs. If it makes you feel any better, at this time I don't think I'd stay at CBR either. We've stayed their twice and loved it but with all that construction I just can't see it being a "restful resort" at this time. I think you made a wise choice.
