Warning: the following thread contains a lot of excitement and chatter that I just want to share with the world.
This has been a phenomenal week for me as far as my impending WDW trip is concerned, and its made me more excited than I can even express. Earlier in the year, my wife and I decided to part ways. We had already had a WDW trip planned, and using the copious amounts of overtime at my new job, I had the trip paid off well ahead of time...someone had to go, and we agreed that it should be me.
Since that time, I had stressed about who I would take with me--I wanted to take someone I would have fun with, someone I wouldn't mind making memories with, and someone who would appreciate it. I decided about a month ago who I felt should go with me, but it wasn't till this week that she could confirm.
Monday morning brought much good news! Not only did CG reservations open up, allowing me to snag an ADR, but as a result of others changing their ADRs, I was able to get better times at other restaurants! The best news of all came late Monday when my friend confirmed that she would be making the trip with me. She'd been holding back her excitement and sharing with me just how much she wanted to go, on the off chance that she wasn't going to be able to make it--but now that we've changed the reservation, neither of us can do anything but think about our trip.
I'm all over the MDE and this site, looking up event times, going over menus, plotting out locations for parades, etc. I just had to share my excitement with someone and y'all were it!
