Remember DD had an interview earlier this week for a 4H "job"..

They were told they would get a letter next week..

Well, I opened it because I thought it was just the monthly newsletter..

SHE GOT IT! SHE GOT IT! SHE GOT IT!!!



Now to see what she is in for!!! Or I have to be in for (I'll be the chauffeer I'm sure!)

It asked for drivers, meetings, refreshment.. I think I'll do the later two.. unless it's holding meetings at my house.. as much as I'd like too.. I have to many kids running in/out our door! LOL

Congrats to DD!!

My Niece and Nephew are big into 4H out here. DD not so much yet but she is only 8 - so there is plenty of time!

What "job" will she be doing!?

We can start mini 4-H in first grade & 2nd grade.. Regular 4-H starts in 3rd grade and they can go up to 10 years in it.. DD will be a 10 year member when she is done!


Her job will be to promote 4-H to the youth in the community at the area schools. They also go to other things outside of the community too.. I'm sure we'll have a parent meeting shortly so I can tell you a little more. I know the kids who get this job must be in high school. I do know that last year the kids helped w/ the mini 4-H meetings and helping them learn the 4-H pledge, motto, etc.

She brought it in and said "look at this"....
I said what?

She said I made it..and than proceeded to dance around the room..and then she showed me a list of all of them that made it... of course the girl she dislikes made it but 2 of her close friends made it so the other girl isn't much of an issue now! LOL

She has a retreat in Sept. that DH will have to take her to because I don't do country driving to places I don't know unless we do a trial run first..but DS12 has a CC meet that day at home so DH knows I don't like to miss the sporting events for a drive I don't know.. We talked to DD about it; she was cool w/ dad taking her IF he would remember to tell mom EVERYTHING about the parent meeting..than she ran to the "junk" drawer and pulled out the mini-tape record and asked "do we have batteries for this?" this could save your life dad! That way you won't forget to tell her anything!

What a sweetheart- and she knows enough to make sure you get the information needed.
