exchaning AP voucher for pass-hotel rate?

I don't know where to post this but...
I have an AP rate for our hotel room. I will be (or planning to) doing a voucher from the Disney store and then exchanging it. But our flight comes in late that night we will be checking in…we probably won’t get to our hotel until 11 or 12. Where do I go to get the exchange my voucher for my AP pass that late since I need to have an AP in my hand? What should I do?

You can go to Downtown Disney. I think pleasure Island guest relations should be open.

You shouldn't need to have the AP in hand; you can still get your AP rate with the voucher, though the front desk may ask you to come back sometime after you get your actual AP so they can verify it.

This is a common situation and the WDW resorts are usually pretty accomodating about it. If the CM who checks you in gives you any trouble about it, DON'T PANIC! Calmly and politely ask to speak to his manager and explain your situation; managers always understand and make things easy on you, unless you get upset or yell at one of their CMs or cause a disruption.

Willcad, that is great advice. Thank you! That's what I will do. I have young children traveling with me as well so a trip to pick up an actual AP could be a nightmare.

I had this same concern in February. The wonderful people on the board helped me and reassured me that there was nothing to worry about. You just check in normally and the CM helping you MAY ask for proof, I was not asked. I just wanted to make sure that I was getting the correct rate and asked the CM if they needed to see my AP voucher to get the AP rate or not and how I would go about exchanging it. There was never a need for me to show them anything else. Hopefully this helps.
