I have some English currency that I would like to exchange prior to my next trip to WDW for a little extra spending money and was wondering how people have made out with exchanging their currency at a WDW resort. Good rate or bad? :confused3

To be honest knowing how difficult it is to exchange foreign currency in the US most people bring their spending money in US$ cash or travellers cheques and also use their credit card or even a debit card (for ATM's). I am not sure I have ever seen any exchange rates displayed in the hotels, but would of thought it could be possible.

We wer e ther 2003 - in all stars - and it was not possible there - we got to know a family who were having problems exchanging and had to go out to find a bank and pay hefty commission - maybe the deluxe hotels do it, but you would be better using travellers cheques $ they are just like cash and credit card for extras if necessary....

You are in the US but have some UK currency, is that right?

I would personally change it in your home town before setting out for WDW, then you have the "extra" before you arrive :)

Hotel Rates a very poor, it would be better value for money to exchange at somewhere like M&S which has good rates on the high street without commission

I agree, if it is possible to change in your local bank then this may be best and save you time hunting around for somewhere that will change it when you are on vacation.
