I have a handicapped brother who will be staying with a sitter when we go to two of our TS character meals. He really needs to eat in the room but we can't get TS carryout or at least last time it was a nightmare trying. Do you think Pepper Market would take a TS exchange for a CS meal? We are staying at OKW and would love to get their meal there but it needs to be carryout. What do you think I should try and do? I know someone probably has a great idea. We had hours of trying to find a carryout TS meal last year for him. Finally OKW gave in and let us have carryout from Olivias but it took a lot of talking an several hours.

I think you can use 2TS for a pizza delivery to the room if thats something that interests you.

They don't usually let you exchange a TS for a CS meal. Sometimes during Free Dining they do allow it.

Maybe if you explain your situation to a CM at the conceirge desk they might be able to switch it. But I wouldn't count on it.

I have heard about the 2 TS for pizza delivery. Can someone tell me what you get and is it worth 2 TS's? That might work for us if something other than pizza can be delivered. Where can I find out what is offered?
Thanks

It's just pizza delivery with pop and maybe breadsticks or something. There aren't other entree choices.

OP. Why cant your brother eat at a sit down? I do not get this. There are plenty of handicap people, that eat out, for dinner.

He can eat out for meals but by night time he is tired and not in a good mood. He is mentally ********. I really don't think everyone who is handicapped likes to eat out anyway! I guess I had better let this go as I don't want to say something I will be sorry for.

I guess I have heard it all also! My brother is 57 years old and lives with me. I guess I know better what he can do and not do. I have cared for him for years alone so if I say he needs to eat in, I should know. I am sorry you have a handicapped child because as I know it is hard. I am proud you can take your child out. I can also take my brother out, but as he gets older is gets harder. He has no teeth and has trouble eating. We are taking him to all the other meals, just not these two. We go to WDW every year and he goes and enjoys it as much as I am sure your children do. I think people should not be so unkind as to make statements when they don't understand what is up! I pray your child is not as handicapped as my brother is. I am very proud of him and what he can do which is about what a 3 year old can do. SO please don't condemn me. I do my best!!!!

I wish I could help, but I don't have experience with the dining plan. I did want to give you a hug. It sounds like you could use one.

Merilyn, I am sorry. If I hurt your feelings at all. That was not my intention, at all. You are a great sister!! I hope you, and your family have a wonderful vacation! I also hope you can get a TS to go wherever you desire to.

I can suggest that you change your room of choice to one that does the in room dining.. IE: The Polynesian http://allears.net/menu/men_polr.htm

There are quite a few other resorts that offer it aswell. Check all ears to see what places have the menus for in room dining available..:wizard:

Edit: Youll have to see about the dining plan tho.....

Thanks for all you kind words of support. The comment that hurt my feelings has been removed so this is over for me. I know there are a lot of people out there that are handicapped in one way or another. My prayers go out to them and their familes. God gives us these special ones to love and care for and they give us unconditional love back. WDW is one of the best places for my brother and others like him to vacation. He fits in and no one ever treats him without respect. We so look forward to our trips there and I know others feel the same way. God bless you all who have handicapped family members, we are a special group of people with God's gifts to love.

If your interested in the TS pizza delivery it includes one pizza, two drinks, two desserts and the tip.

If your on the DxDP then you also receive salad and breadsticks-that's what I have heard.

You can get the same items and pick it up at the food court for 2 CS credits.

It might be better to order in some food off site, then you could go to another TS meal.

People drop their children off in the kid's clubs so they can enjoy rides, meals or other activities without the kids. I have no idea why anyone would say anything mean about you having a meal without your brother. Maybe he would like some down time and have a quiet meal in his room. I don't know him-you do!

I would certainly talk to the concierge desk about changing a couple of his TS for CS - they can do it, and they actually do exchange for people quite often -- straight up one table service for one counter service -- especially when people have circumstances that they can't use the credits they have paid for (like someone got sick & they had to miss a reservation, then don't have time to get to another table service restaurant before they have to leave.) With your circumstances I don't think they'd have any problem helping you out this way. Disney is outstanding at providing a good experience for people with challenges. That way your brother can have his comfortable down-time & a meal he will enjoy in the room.:thumbsup2
