Exchanges???

What are exchanges? I see threads for them all the time. Could someone explain them to me?

Not sure if I can explain this well....so feel free to ask followup questions. Exchanges are basically gift exchanges through the mail. Currently there is the ornament exchange. There is usually a mininum you can send (1 ornament), some send more. You sign up for the exchange, receive the name/address of the person you are to send your ornament to, then send out the ornament and wait for your's to arrive. There is also a mail by date. This year the ornament has to be mailed by 12/10. The sign up for this exchange is closed, as well as the sign up for the yankee candle exchange.

Hi, BobbinWeez! Look up near the top of the CB threads and there is one called the Exchange Index. Gaspode does a good job of keeping it updated with all the latest information on what exchanges are currently in process.

Alphabet Exchanges G and H just opened today.

What is an exchange?

Ok, well they are usually based on a particular item.........like Calendars or Yankee Candles or Recipes for eg.

What happens is...........if you are interested in one that is open for signups, you need to get a Pm off to the organiser with your name & addy.

Once the sign ups close you will then be contacted via Pm from the exchage organiser with the name & addy of a fellow Diser who is then the person you are to send your exchange parcel to.


Someone else will have received your details & you will recieve a package from a person other than the one you sent yours too.

They are fun & a great way to make new friends.

So, if you're thinking it might be something you'd like to do..............check out the exchange index & see what is currently open for signups & go for it.
