My sister has ownership in a timeshare through RCI. I thought those could now be exchanged for DVC? She said there are Disney resorts listed, but only as extra "purchases" ($1000+/wk) & not available for exchange. Is this really true, or is she looking at the wrong thing??? :confused3
HELP!

THat means she does not have a top notch timeshare. Only the real high quality ones can pull DVC through RCI.

More correctly it likely means she does not have a deposit with sufficient trade power. It may be the week, resort, or lead time was inadequate to give sufficient trade power or any combination. It does not automatically mean they can't alter certain variables to attain the needed trade power, they may or may not be able to. And if they own a resort in Orlando, they are automatically excluded from trading to DVC. What resort and week do they have on deposit with RCI and how far ahead of the week did they deposit it? We may be able to help them so they can potentially trade to DVC.
