Exchangers, what new exchanges are you interested in?

The Bath and Body one is usually done in June and January for their semi-annual sale. DisneyCP2002 usually runs that one. We need to check with her and see if she is planning to do it this June.

I have had a "pamper me" exchange on my list for quite a while....just have never gotten to it

Well, get busy woman! It's not like you've got anything else to do......:rolleyes1

;)

:rotfl:

Well, you are only working on 2 exchanges right now....get another going!!

I leave for AZ again on the 20th

I just had a great thought got a couple of exchanges!! Now I know the weather might not be up for this but I had to write them down...

***A tea party--send a package of tea and some tea type things (ie a tea ball strainer or maybe tea cakes) Could be iced tea for the summer

***Cocoa exchange- again during summer not so much but you never know!

***A "mini" exchange- what can you send that is travel sized?

***Disney movie exchange---Pick 3 top Disney movies (animated or live action) and work exchange around them

***Recipe card exchange--you take the list of exchangers and give everyone their names (or just 10 if you have many exchangers) and we just send 1 or 2 4x6 recipe cards in a letter and then we have recipes from all over.popcorn::

Ok, there are some of my ideas....just trying to help:hippie:

I LOVE THESE THINGS!!!

p.s. LOVE the "pamper" idea!:cloud9:

I have a few ideas,
How about a kids only exchange for example:

High school musical exchange
Hannah Montana exchange
baseball or any other sport (items or cards related to that sport)
swim party exchange (anything that goes with the pool or beach)
art and crafts
children books (name top 5 favorites to choose from)

for anyone:

summer picnic/cook-out exchange (anything that goes with a picnic)
gardening
magazine exchange (name top 5 favorites to choose from)
scrapbooking exchange

:thumbsup2 Exactly what I was gonna suggest. The dollar store had lots of really neat pamper me stuff.

I also liked the idea of the recipe card exchange. I know we are doing the Regional cookbook now but, I had thought about writing up some recipe cards of my favorite recipes. But, I didn't get to it :guilty:

I like your ideas--especially the picnic one. And the ones for the kids sound good too.

I like the outdoor/picnic idea....especially with moving to a new state where we can eat out more :sunny:

We do recipes in Oct. ....every year. :teeth:
We had a tea one last year, maybe it will happen again. It was a lot of fun ::yes::

I will get the "pamper" idea on my list....stay tuned, it will happen, just not sure when. It might be a good one for after the holidays.

I had done a children's book one, but a general. I was thinking of putting one together soon, and it is open to kids, and teachers. But if there are others who have nieces, nephews....they are welcome as well.

Those sound like fun. I am going to host the summer exchange, and you can always add those types of things into your exchange.
Or, if you say that one of the activities that you like to do during the summer is going on a picnic, maybe your pal will send you things pertaining to that :).

That's what I was thinking too. Summer activities include picnics and travel, so you could send those under that category. :thumbsup2

Also, I was wondering if anyone hosts a calendar exchange? I love calendars! I have one in almost every room of the house. LOL Well, not the bathrooms. ;)

Yes, it is done at the ending of the year :). I am not sure who will host it this year, we have had a few different organizers for that one...but there will be one.

Cool. Well, you know if you need me to host anything, I'm happy to help. :)

All of these sound like fun suggestions. I really liked Jean's idea of doing a scrapbooking exchange. I love scrapbooking!

If you are into scrapbooking, there is a forum about Arts & Crafts, and they do their own scapbooking exchanges as well if you would like to check it out :).

Ok, I decided against hosting the postcard exchange last year, but was thinking that I might do it sometime real soon as I have time on my hands right now.

So, should anyone be interested in postcards, which by the way are quite inexpensive to purchase and post, then I have a poll here...http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1794621

BTW, do you guys here need help with hosts for the exchanges?? What do you have to do? I was wondering so I can be helpful around here:flower3:

I love that website! I could use some of that stuff here at work. (I'm looking at the food stuff--the salad dressings would come in handy).
